Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS, small, Brodie

Post by whicker »

Just as the title says- lets make this the "ongoing" thread for results and discussion about tonights show.

Any results through yet?

As for the main even, I just have an "outside" feeling something might go wrong for Small, and he loses this.

I wonder how Sam Webb feels?

Its a joke McDonough is getting a shot as he lost in the eliminator. I see Small outboxing him and winning on points or maybe a late stoppage, looking forward to seeing Crolla vs Brodie thats a good crossroads fight for both of them. I really like Crolla and hope he wins

Yeah- too true- if it wasn't for Small's "personality" this would be a very flat main event.

Thomas McDonagh has a long held reputation as one of the best gym fighters in the UK. Lets see tonight if the Storm Boy can finally convert his promise into results..

Personally, i'm fascinated by the main event. I know Small should and probably will come out of the fight on top, but McDonagh has a pretty solid chin and boxes well when he's on form. I'm not expecting too many fireworks but a solid domestic fight nevertheless.

i don't really think it's clever to voice an opinion on a fight when you only have knowledge of one of the fighters.

I know completely zip about Thomas Mcdonagh. Only that Sam Webb bat him earlier this year apparently.

I don't think Anthony Small plays the percentages though, he throws silly bombs of shots if you ask me, too often. If, and I say if, he has an "off night"...then that could give a domestic fighter a chance. Or when he steps up, then he will need to get more disciplined.

But, whatever works for him I suppose. I like Small, I think he is good for boxing :TU:

Small is selling an appalling match that shouldn't have been sanctioned.

someone who loses an eliminator shouldn't get a title shot for his very next fight (just my opinion.)

Does he think he is Roy Jones Jr or something? Not even gonna bother scoring this because Small is annoying me too much.
