Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS, small, Brodie
Re: Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS- Main EVENT now
Ian Darke is having a good go here!!!!
McDonagh is an underated spoiler. He does have a good chin and survival instinct. He has good skills, but has a spoiler attitude and not the greatest stamina. He lost to Webb and Alexander in his career - but neither fight was a convincing win against him.
However, I aint trying to defend Small.... that was novicy and terrible.

anthony small is not an attacking fighter. he is a counter-puncher as you saw in the hall fight. he is a decent fighter off the back foot. but front foot absolute terrible

Re: Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS- Main EVENT now
Small-McDonagh was a joke of a fight. It was for the British & Commonwealth title, but it was a bout that befitted Kellogs cornflakes title.
I'm a big fan of Small & for one know he can prodice much, much better. He needs to start producing the goods more often. He was lucky to win tonight imo, & it should be the kick up the arse he needs. His trainer, David Pereira, gave him sound advice in that he should work off the jab, throw combos, not just look for the KO!
Small could have taken McDonagh out, but it was like he could not even be bothered to try hard for the stoppage.

Re: Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS, small, Brodie
Voronin is a decent step-up for Quigg. Brodie's day has long passed, he should retire immediately.

Re: Friday Fight Night Round by Round, SPOILERS, small, Brodie
It was one of the most horrible FNF's I've seen. With a terrible main event, and terribly sad seeing Brodie like that.
Everything has "gone" from him. My old man shouted "he's f*cked" from the opening seconds. His footwork had gone, his snap was gone, his reflexes has gone, his punch resistance he gone.
He was not as "clueless" as when I saw Michael Ayers fighting Jon Honney a few years ago, but in a way this was kind of sadder cause Brodie looked like he had the moves, just in slow motion. I wouldn't be at all surprised if people watching him work out geniunally thought he might have still got "it" - working at the much slower intensity of a spar. With Ayers, I would be surprised if anyone genuinally gave him a chance in his comeback - he was so shot, it didn't look like he'd ever laced than up.
Sadly, Ian Darke was wrong when he said "the warning signs were there from the opening seconds" - NO... the warning signs were there from his first comeback fight.
please, please, please retire Brodie. Rumours are that he needs cash, I just hope he can find a safer way to earn a living.

Crolla talking about going down to featherweight. How do you think he will do?
I think Swifty would beat him comfortably..
