Small is one of my favourites. He's shaping up nicely to be the next Chris Eubank. A definite pay-per-view attraction of the future if he gets the fights he needs.

He is bringing a bit of hype here and there and creating a bit of interest - but you are barking mad if you think Small will do anything on the world stage.

I have had the displeasure of dealing with Mr Small on a professional basis, and apart from being totally loopy, he is extremely disrespectful to well, Everyone.
As for his current situation has he really signed with Hatton ?
Having just been taken to the cleaners by Wazza who now has him tied to a Management Contract for 18 months that he arrogantly thought he could walk away from, will that make his Promotional aspirations come true ?
Oh and he also resoundingly lost his case against team Rhodes - by not even bothering to turn up for the hearing.

I dont know the guy, and actually I am glad I dont. I like to see confidence in a fighter, its an essential part of being a winner, but with Small its all arrogance and disrespect, which is a different matter entirely.

I think last nights fight was a stinker and it has to qualify as one of the worst, if not the worst fight of the year. Small was more interested in posing and pratting around than behaving like a champion and he deserved to lose. He won by a close decision, but without the showboating and humiliation of his opponent, he could have won the fight by a wide margin. He has talent but unfortunately he also has a bad attitude and believes he is better than he actually is. Fighting lke that its only a matter of time before he gets another beating.

Probably because it sell's tickets people go wanting you KO'd, but he need's to stick to the boxing during the fights 10 punches landed in 6 rounds is almost embarrasing he showboated far too much in the ring and looked like a proper idiot in the interview at the end

What is it with fighters not learning fundamentals, not learning straight punches, telegraphing punches, not throwing in combination, dropping the hands? And then trying to be Pernell Whitaker movement and slipping without doing the rest? Witter/Haye are better but try to do the same thing. Hatton hasnt learnt the basics either, didnt punch straight, doesnt move the head, doesnt keep his hands up

100% agree he hardly threw a combo he was always looking for a massive telegraphed right hand to finish the night, McDonagh saw them coming a mile off and dodged them easily if he threw in combo's he would of landed more and could of stopped McDonagh imo

Hatton was always a wrestler, always a wide cuffing puncher without great punch technique, always dropped 1 of his hands on the way in, always came in in straight lines. The signs were there agains Magee, Tackie and Phillips. All his early fights pre-Tyszu had the cards stacked so much in his favour it was unbelieveable

Britain doesnt produce technically impressive fighters anymore, we used to have the likes Conteh and Buchannon

I never meant he was a master boxer like Conteh and Buchannan,but,for me,performances like the Tackie bout,and later Malignaggi,showed Ricky could box and box well.Also,the Urango bout he boxed well.I know he shipped a few in the Tackie bout,but i never said he was a Mayweather,but to say he never mastered the basics is going a bit far,in my opinion

Small is no great ticket seller but as my mate on here, Ulysses, says, he's a tv fighter, made for tv rather than live shows. also, Small in normal life and in sparring etc is a decent guy. but point a camera/notepad at him and its like wacko jackos metamorphosis in the thriller video

Thats about the size of it. Anthony is a nice bloke in perosn and beleive it or not quite humble.

I dont think he will sell a hall out, but he will get people watching TV and he does his bit to get people watching. Boxing needs characters like him and he is a good fighter, but needs to tighten his work up and shoteren up his punches, and throw more too.

His fight on Friday was one of the worst I have seen.

Yeah but look who he was fighting early on.

To keep him unbeaten then get a faded and rusty Tszyu to come to Manchester was a masterstroke. What a great job Warren did for that man.
