Khan pay per view joke

Post by FLINT ISLAND »

Sky havent taken my £15 bill out from the bank for the Haye V Goliath fight yet

Now they are asking me to pay up another £15 if I want to see this next Khan fight

Greed ruins so many things

I'm not getting it :shame:

Its obvious Khans career has been based around pay per view now for a while

Bedis Presscot pay per view was a joke - was that even for a title ? - commonwealth champ at the time headling a pay per view card

Such greed

Disgrace

No point getting sky sports anymore - because you dont get to see the big events - you gott pay another lump on top :witzend:

Nah screw the fight - I'll let plenty of other mugs line the greedy pockets of those behind Khans pay per view career

I'll spend the £15 I will save on some takeway food and drinks instead :OhYes:

Yeah I'm looking forward to the undercard more than Khan - for the Micthell - Presscott should be a real war :box:

I wont pay

But I might pop down to a casino where I watched the last Khan fight for free - they alwyas have the pay per view stuff

If I dont go out - I will just listen on the radio :TU:

It's poor value, really- nothing really "sells" that bill.

Simpson V Bell is a good quality undercard fight, but then we should get undercard fights like that (or small hall headliners) on most shows- it's not in itself a PPV fight, or even remotely close to one. Nor is Prescott V Mitchell.

Its about Khans commercial "star" appeal it is - more to do than the quality of the fight

Khan became a teenage sensation - and a household name - as the "boy from bolton"

Even most teenage girls all know who he is

And alot of teenage girls wont have a clue who David Haye is

Khan started his pay per view career early - as a commonwelath champion   ...........and was knocked out in a diaster result

Despite that his very next fight against Osin Fagan was pay per view also

Khans career is being managed with just exposing his fame and to cash in as much as they can

He obviously has ability to win a World title

But he is more a celebrity than a real fighter who would learn their trade fighting on undercards

But Khans career has been about selling Commonwealth title fights as pay per view

Regardless of who he fights from now on - its pay per view - just cashing in on his celebrity

Bollocks to that - I'm not playing along with that script :shame:

Cleverly's European title shot was going to be on it, after Kell Brook's pull out against Jennings I thought he would have ended up on the card.

It was touted as been on the card when the show was first announced and it was down on boxrec as been on the undercard.

I never said it was, what I stated was when the show was first announced it looked as if the card would be:

Khan vs Salita
mitchell vs burns
brook vs jennings (rescheduled)
cleverly vs brancalion(vacant european title fight)
james degale vs TBA
frankie gavin vs TBA
billy j sauders vs TBA
derek chisora vs TBA

So for that reason I'm glad I didn't buy tickets

I'd never buy tickets in advance to a show. One advatange of buying tickets in advance is that you can get a decent seat- but whats the point of that when seating sections are often closed, and people tend to sit where they like anyway- or "upgrade" ticketsare given out lottery fashion.

Then you have to pay a booking fee, delivery fee, printing fee, buying a ticket charge, credit card charge, licking the f---ing envelope charge etc.

Yeah- i know what you mean- if he looks poor and vulnerable, then he may well be lind up as Khan's next opponent (even if he loses- especially if he loses) - the "It's revenge" tag might sell it.

:OhYes: :OhYes: :OhYes:

If he beats Mitchell, I doub we'd ever see him over here again.

Prescott has looked poor since he sparked Khan out, I fancy the Amir camp will go after McCloskey if he gets passed Salita.
