Bomber has been given one count as a pro, that was against the Latvian Andreevs. Replays later showed it was a trip. In the ams, Bellew received a standing count versus Steve Simmons because the ref was concerned over one shot Bellew took. He never once hit the floor as an amateur. Absolute fact.

There you have it, not one knockdown in his entire career caused by a punch.
100% right the quiet man.

but just to add something to that the count against simmons was off a jab and bellew barely flinched and coundnt believe he got a count. a short while after bellew k.od him in a big way. but he never went down he took a jab and the ref said stop boxing give an unbelievable count then bomber k.od him

good times 8)
I remember that fight, steven was jabbing bombers head off and was miles ahead on points then bomber power caught up with him in the last round was it not? am also sure that bomber hit him the ref shouted stop boxing for a count but then has hit him again with a big shot?
It was the 3rd round not the last.. I was losing yes without doubt. I was 7 down when the ref stopped it, I've come an awful long way since them days :OhYes:

about 20 pounds in weight and a whole load of medals and ABA titles too.. :TU:

I thought Tony Oakey was impressive last time out against Davies, I was hoping to see him out again this year, but looks like he's not out to the new year.

Thanks Billy..

I admire Tony Oakey and will never call him out, The guy is a fantastic pro!! Im a fan of his.. If we have to fight 1 day I just hope it's for a title and we get top money cos I know for 1 thing it'll be an absoloute war with both of us probably needing to visit a nearby hospital.

yes your right styles make fights and that one would be a classic tony is very underated as a fighter has a brilliant chin brillliant stamina and a heart of a lion it would be a massive scalp he is 32-33 now so i couldnt see him turning it down from a spectators point of view i think it would be far better than the mcintosh fight and i hope it will be for the british when cleverley gives it up which to be beonest i cant see why fwank aint got him to already so you can fight for it. or it must be that oakey v mcintosh would be first in line is it?
Styles most certainly do make fights mate and his style is gonna be the toughest style for me.I really do believe it'll be harder trying to beat Oakey than it wil Cleverly. I think it's gonna happen but as I said before it will most definitley have to be for a very meaningful title!! I still think he ran Clev close at 3 weeks notice, I speak to his coach and he thinks Tony at full notice can beat Clev?? It wouldn't suprise me at all but I know he won't get another chance at Clev now..

good stuff there tony, always amazes me when the major internet warriors that talk shit have hardly any posts so makes you wonder what their motives are and (who exactly they are is it clev in disguise). looking forward to hitting newcastle for ure next fight and also young swifty the future of liverpools boxing, exciting times! :bag:

Some fornicating idiots on here lately...

quite simple.......Bellew is a great prospect with a big punch and plenty of ability but he's a year or so behind Clev in terms of his career. Clev is looking at world and Euro honours next year while Bellew looks to polish up on the domestic scene. I believe they'll both do the business and in 2 years or so Bomber will be knocking on Nathan's door with a realistic chance of that fight happening for a title.

Internet keyboard warriors = TWATS

PS Bellew is an exciting fighter, a nice bloke and comes on here to explain himself when he doesn't have to. Show him some fornicating respect. He's a lot like Mooresy in that sense....doesn't hide away from anything.

Fella, I may be wrong, but I think it's just Lirva masquerading under his latest user name. Maybe one of the mods can tell us by checking the IP address?

It is definitely Lirva. I dont think we need an IP check to verify his lazy, unimaginative troll style.

Couple of things I want to add -

Tony Bellew is a very promising talent at domestic level, given the correct guidance he can and no doubt will go on to bigger and better things. How some on here can say that because Nathan was rocked by Joe Vegas then he would be knocked out by Bellew is ridiculous. Fighters get caught FACT it is how they come back from the brink that counts. Nathan came back and won the fight, that is what's important after all. Many thought Nathan would lose to Oakey but he didn't, again that's all that matters. Nathan V Bellew will not happen for a long while, lets be serious why would FW put two of his biggest prospects in with each other FFS? Nathan will be knocking on the door of a world title fight if he wins in Italy and Tony has many big domestic fights to win as well, both fighters will earn FW an awful lot of money either way. Then if all goes to FW plan Nathan will be World champion, Tony will be Commonwealth or European and then this really does line up a mouth watering British show down that could be as big as Benn Eubanks (Especially if they keep winning and calling each other out  )

Tony

You keep doing what your doing fella and your time will come :TU: No point calling Clev out yet as you know it will not happen for a long while  Clev on the other hand should just draw a line under this and refuse to comment further as he also knows this fight is 2 years away, when the fight gets closer let the TALK BEGIN :box: Until then leave the trash in the bin 8)

The trash-talk will build this into one of the biggest domestic scraps of recent times..!

Reports that Bomber is fighting a HW in Newcastle...

As i said to the blue half of my family... 'Liverpool might be playing shite at the moment, but it's always good to know Everton are even shitter'. :TU:

Lirva is someone who keeps signing back up to this site (after being banned) under different names, with the sole purpose of getting under people's skin. His latest alias is MarcMero (who created this thread), so you can see what he's all about.

Your not wrong, it wasn't even a fit Wayne Brooks (unlike when he fought you, that was and is the best shape he has ever been in) Just for the record I do not put Harri in your class it would just be nice to see you KO him out, Heck I would even add a few hundred quid to your purse :DD

the way tony has conducted himself on this site and not reacted badly to the goading, has won him another fan here...am I one of many that thought his reaction when he knocked the last kid out, showed someone who loves the game and has his heart set on being a champ? :box:
