Alofabi - What are his chances this Saturday?

Anybody give him a chance against the hard punching Huck this weekend?

It`s a tough ask, but he has an awkward style and what looks like a decent chin. Maybe he can pull it off.

On another point, I will be at Twickenham to watch the rugby this Saturday and have a piss up planned in Putney for afterwards. Don`t know the area at all, but does anyone know of any pubs in Putney that might show the Khan fight?

Hmm Putney not exactly a hotbed of boxing, and given it's PPV I doubt anywhere will bother to be honest. It's all rugger buggers and rowing crowd round there mate.

There's one or two old fashioned boozers at the top of Putney Hill opposite the train station, the Dray Horse or something one of them's called.

I tend to agree. Afolabi spends far too long sitting on the ropes doing nothing. I'm all over Huck by decision. If you remember he was actually trailing badly on the cards versus Enzo before landing that big right-hand hand.

Enzo is a good name on his record but other than him he hasnt got any names and come on Enzo is in shocking form.

Huck looks like one of the best cruisers around at the moment, he punches hard and he should be way too strong for Afolabi.

Btw is Ola still trained at the Wild Card?

yes as far as i know he is based in LA and trains there

Cheers mate. I thought I was going to struggle for the fight in Putney, but I`m an optimist so I won`t give up hope just yet.

I think he might be able to do it Huck is one dimensialel and is quite inactive during rounds sometimes but when he throws he is powerful and could hurt Afolabi. But if Afolabi can stand with him early maybe tire him and come on strong later, I would favour Huck but can see Afolabi casuing an upset

the fox (also near the station) would be your best bet....they stayed open late to show calzaghe's last 2 fights...show all the sport in there, lot of screens, etc

If Afolabi was 'trailing' v Enzo Macc it's only because he was taking it easy & letting Macc punch himself out. He looked completely confident and in control of what he was doing throughout, picking and choosing his shots and generally making Enzo look a mug.

I was certain watching that he was going to kayo Enzo.

Afolabi will do a job on Huck IMO.

i'm not as confident as you. afolabi is not very assertive in there, and appears to give away rounds. we will see what he's made of vs huck, who is not likely to fold so suddenly.

Huck is a double-hard bastard. I don't think he's ever been decked. But as Alex says, he's one dimensional. He didn't look very good against Ramirez, but that's understandable as Ramirez is a pressure fighter and probably the toughest cruiserweight in the World.

I don't think Huck will look good against Afolabi, but if he's throwing punches he'll win rounds. Afolabi has to be more active.

Sorry, but I think Huck will win a wide decision.

Huck looks like a Romanian village idiot and fights like a vicious bastard. It is hard to bet against him in this one.

I haven't seen much of Huck but he seems to have lots of power and no technique. Ola could definitely 'James Toney' him. As long as he makes him pay with a couple of sharp counters everytime he makes Huck miss. I think he's definitely capable of getting a tko/cuts stoppage.

He has some technique. His last fight he boxed Ramirez, making sure not to engage too much. It was the correct game plan. Huck didn't look great, but he did the job. He seems to punch well, but lacks intelligence.
