All I know was Red Herring was a Sergeant and was a boxing insrutor but i highly doubt he was the most decorated :P

Georges was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Medaille Militaire.
Siki enlisted in the French army, where his bravery in battle earned him also the Croix de Guerre and the Medaille Militaire.

So does this make it a tie??
I think the winner of WW2 is Ross, again not 100%, he’s certainly the most well known.

Clue: This boxer's name is little-known, at least it was to me, so you'll have to do some research. He claimed the Canadian lightweight championship. During World War I, he was wounded several times and earned: the Croix de Guerre & Cross Militaire (France), Belgium War Cross & Albert Medal (Belgium), Mons Star and King George Special Service Medal (Britain), the Distinquished Service Cross AND the Congressional Medal of Honor by the United States! (All this according to the Oct. 21, 1943 TACOMA NEWS TRIBUNE, when he was working for Boeing in Washington state during World War II. His home at the time was St. Paul.) He may be the most-decorated professional boxer ever.

If not then the search could be endless, boxing being very popular back then I`m sure many medal winners would have put the gloves on at sometime.

An interesting fact about Siki is that recent research has shown that instead of bravely taking out a machine gun nest he may have been guilty of murdering a group of unarmed German prisoners.

was it that Hary Reeves fellow?Who fought Siki a few times.
I heard he was involved in some kind of mutiny back during WWi.

Doubt it was Reeves, he killed someone in the mutiny I believe.
