My first reaction was to nominate Rin Tin Tin.Ric wrote:What professional boxer serving in World War I was the most-decorated for his bravery?
Then I remembered - he wasn't a Boxer, he was a German Shepherd!
Georges was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Medaille Militaire.
Siki enlisted in the French army, where his bravery in battle earned him also the Croix de Guerre and the Medaille Militaire.
So does this make it a tie??
I think the winner of WW2 is Ross, again not 100%, he’s certainly the most well known.

And His name Is?
Clue: This boxer's name is little-known, at least it was to me, so you'll have to do some research. He claimed the Canadian lightweight championship. During World War I, he was wounded several times and earned: the Croix de Guerre & Cross Militaire (France), Belgium War Cross & Albert Medal (Belgium), Mons Star and King George Special Service Medal (Britain), the Distinquished Service Cross AND the Congressional Medal of Honor by the United States! (All this according to the Oct. 21, 1943 TACOMA NEWS TRIBUNE, when he was working for Boeing in Washington state during World War II. His home at the time was St. Paul.) He may be the most-decorated professional boxer ever.
He would be pretty difficult to guess, without going through a bunch of obscure clues. It was Charlie McCarthy:

However, I'm not finding his name among the list of WWI Medal of Honor recipients:

Does anyone know if he had a "real name" other than "McCarthy"?
