Delaney is coming off a decent showing in Europe isnt he?

Was at his fight with Enzo and he was brutalised by body shots - he looked very tight at the weight but gave it a real good go. Showed a lot of heart.

If he can survive the early Haye salvos he might take him some much needed rounds. Punches to slowly to upset the Haye applecart IMO.

If he hasnt got to boil down too far in weight, Delaney could stick around in this fight for a while.

Any idea how heavy? He was 230 or so in his last couple fights so must be higher??

he has to be 15st 10 on the night.... I havent seem him since before christmas but one can assume he was heavier after xmas than he was for his last fight.....

Haye continues to go backwards - fights a guy he should have met in November 2003 and who was floored SEVEN times by Enzo Maccarinelli a couple of months later.
Let's hope Delaney can take him a few rounds.

if delaney had proper notice and it was an 8 rounder i would make it 50/50 fight to be honest.... but that isnt the case.

Lets hope Delaney can stick around and take Haye into the trenches a bit...... Haye dropped Delaney with a body shot in sparring before so will be looking for that shot, especially after the Enzo fight.....

I actually with your first statement. Delaney has the chin and power to give Haye problems. However, as you say he hasn't had the time to prepare.

Didn't Delaney lose his last fight?, i saw that he won on points, then it got changed to a points defeat! not sure of the reasons

Delaney lost to Steffan Neilson in his last fight - I have seen the contest and he definately lost and had a little bit of conditioning.

Wasn't the Neilson fight a 6 rounder? Pretty sure it was and both looked terrible.

i think you are being a tad extreme..... Haye has fought some awful bums... but stepped up very quickly to fight Thompson and deserves credit for that.

ON PAPER Delaney is a good opponent.... and Bennie is technically correct when he says he is going backwards with regard to his last two fights being guys he should have fought in 2003.

perhaps not the best choice of words mind you

so whats new. i could name a million fighters who took an easy confidence builder in their first fight after getting badly KO'd. fact is, he is the most willing out of ANY novice fighters to fight the best. and you choose this guy to complain about when a million others are far more guilty.

Little bit of a fan, are we! Haye is a pudding. Doesn't like roadwork, trains in Soho, blows up after four rounds against a 40-year-old, and one punch against Solis. Why shouldn't I complain about him.

i agree as much as the next guy that haye has been exposed. however, i admire the way he's been stepping up and thought that your comment was misplaced, on the contrary delaney is a good opponent for haye on the comeback road. that's all.

I don't think this fight is bad at all, what haye needs is opponents who can offer something of a challeng and if Delaney comes in with the right attitude he can certainly do that. The problem with the Thompson fight was that Haye wasn't used to people who hit back. Im just dissapointed that my last exam is on that day so I will be unconsiouse in a ditch by the time it happens.
