I look at his last few fights which have been above the limit and think if the fight is made now, it may be insignificant to some but boiling of those extra 5 pounds or so would mean something in favour of joe surely? I'm not sure if he ever struggled to make 175 (Aussie fans feel free to educate me) but having to knock that off now, against someone like joe would have significance.
whenever hes fought at lhw hes always made it easy and been a pound or so inside.
hes obviously outgrown smw and i think LHW is his optimum fighting weight

Green's not that good, watch him vs Mundine, he gets beaten easily.

Green KO1

Only joking, It would be hard to bet against Joe, He was unbeaten. Green has a punchers chance against anyone but Calzaghe was a class act and would more than likely win by UD.

I think the Mundine fight is not a good reflection on Greens ability. He was struggling to make weight and should have moved up to 175 well before that. He looked flat and has looked far better at 175 and now 180.
I was at the weighin for his come back fight in Perth early this year. I heard he was having trouble getting down to even 175, I assume he could make it though.

It was billed as one of the biggest nights in Aussie boxing history (by the Aussies, I was in Sydney at the time) so if Green was struggling with the weight what was he playing at? Either way, to compare him with Calzaghe is a bit daft, Green is no where near Calzaghe.

But top result for him, I bet Mundine is sick as a dog now.

It's hard to say as JC has been out of action for over a year & he's not far off from his 39th year, but if he is no less than 80% of what he was, he still wins comfortably.

The guy who lost to Markus Beyer and Anthony Mundine, yes. Calzaghe would dance around him and slap him silly all night.

At 175lb:

Calzaghe knocked down once, Green wins about 3 of 12 rounds, comfortable Calzaghe UD with scorecards around 116:111.

I didn't, but it could certainly happen if Green landed a flush right hand on the button.

I personally dont know much about Green. I do know that I picked him over Jones, and knew that he would stop Jones inside of five rounds. Jones was simply too old, too slow, and went into Cruiserweight too late in his career. Now, had he did it after beating Ruiz, he would have been fine. Green just realized early on Jones' was shot, and could do as he pleased with him.

Now, that being said. I give it by decision to Calzaghe. Sure he was dropped by Hopkins and Jones in round one, but he also got up and boxed their ears off. He literally shredded Jones, and is one of few men to make Hopkins look like a fool. Green may drop Calzaghe early, but I think really thats the only shot he's got.

Dream-talk. It's seriously embarrassing as an Australian you guys are gonna make any kind of case for Green against Calzaghe

Of course Calzaghe is favourite. He is better than Mundine who schooled Green, arguably winning 11 of the 12 rounds. However, Green was not at his best that night, and hits harder than any of the three men who knocked Calzaghe down. It probably wouldn't happen, but it certainly could happen.
