Ive gone for Barnes as i trained with him when i was a kid before he turned pro and was set to be a hot prospect.

Still he has only lost once, but i hope his year and half since his last fight doesnt effect him too much.

Anybody fancy Barrie Jones? He's fit, eager and improving. Remember that sometimes high workrate can carry you far in this tournament.

Don't think Grant will do much. Barnes I think is talented but maybe too lethargic and so is Mutley (who I think has no punch resistance left anyway).

Cook's time has gone, I reckon he'll be slow and looking for the big hayemaker too much. Rees is a good shout, I'll back Lynes on quality to win but not 100% sure.

I always go for the outstanding amateur in these. Format suits them perfectly. I would've gone for lynes but theres always the chance he gets outhustled.
Tonights has to be the highest standard yet.

Barnes for me but Mutley at 16-1 looks outstanding value.
He's got Barrie Jones first and I think he'll take him easily enough,

sorry mate but even if Mutley were 25's he'd still not be good value IMO

his workrate is too patchy, IMO, even in the shorter format he is almost certain to get outworked. plus making the weight won't be fun for him. someone better walk onto a big left hook for Mutt to win

i agree with stujones that him and bami are the two i fancy least to win.

It's out of Rees and Barnes with Lynes in with a shout too. Rees would be my pick, too strong for the others, but if Barnes (or Lynes) can keep pecking, grabbing and running then maybe that could happen.

I want Grant to win. Very polished skills and has been quietly sitting in the shadows. I'd love to see him use the prizerfighter as his platform to push himself into British title contention. He's giving away bundles of experience to other entries and doesn't appear to punch hard, but a few wins wins over some hard men show he is made of pretty stern stuff.

I give Jones a big shout... .the Brook performance isn't bad in hindsight. Last minute sub and gave Brook 8 competitive rounds. Okay he lost them all, but after the fight I thought Jones could have done better - in hindsight it was a bloody good effort.

I knew it was between 3, backed the wrong one, Rees came back well from the Kotelnik defeat but I'm not sure he can reach the heights he once reached. He still has a lot to offer and personally I would try and push for a fight with Hatton.

Quality tournament. Probably the best yet by some way. Full credit to all entrants.

If John Murray can bag the EBU title and with Rees talking about going down to lightweight, I'd love to see these two go hammer and tong at it.
