Tyson's just too fast with his assault. I wouldn't wanna watch this. With Marciano's heart, it'd be sad viewing :-?

If Marciano can get pass the four round he would stop Tyson in later rounds. To me this is a 50/50 fight. Do not underestimate Marciano's heart. Tyson was faster and punch harder, but he lacked stamina and I think Marciano’s stamina was better than Tyson’s.

Can't see the 'Rock' prevailing in this one.

Thats not me dimishing his abilities or accomplishments. It's just that Tyson was far too fast, a combination puncher and possesed some great boxing skills. Fantastic offense, good defence, solid chin and great hand speed and power.

A little too much, for the 'Rock' to handle, although you could never totally discount a guy like Rocky :)

Heart would win it, Tyson's skills and speed were way superior but as we know he did not KO everyone and when the tables were turned. . . not much confidence in himself.
I love to watch Tyson, proper force of nature in beautifully controlled moves. But the nature of his losses can not be ignored.

Rocky was too damn easy to hit, Tyson would've battered his face into a bloody mess before the ref stops it from The Rock being "rocked" by blind shots through his bloody mask. Marciano had tons of heart but too little defense to be able to handle someone of Tyson's titanic power and speed.

I saw Rocky sweep Don Cockell aside back in '55. He never stopped boring in with head, shoulders, elbows etc. not forgetting his fists. He might have bothered the later Tyson but the late eighties version of Iron Mike I think would have swamped the Rock. It's all if's and but's. If my Auntie had been a man she would have been my uncle!!!!.

Tyson too fast and powerful. Plus he would outweigh Marciano by 2.5+ stone. Tysons chin was pretty good and I can't see Marciano knocking him out with one punch, Marciano was more of a accumulative puncher, Tyson was a better one puncher.

Tyson early stoppage

Tyson was very defensive at his best, hard to hit. But so was Marciano at the end of his career, his bobbing and weaving style with his head cocked to the side made him awkward. Tyson had problems with tall, rangy fighters---Marciano always fought wars with everybody.

Tyson may been fast, but could he have matched Marciano's punch rate? Marciano averaged 80 some punches a round and sometimes threw over 100. If he got to Mike first and often, I think he would have given Tyson issues----but its hard for me to imagine Rocky prevailing over Tyson, at least the one who beat Berbick and had it all together---by the time he faced Bruno and Douglas, he became a head hunter---that version of Tyson I can see Marciano having a chance of beating.

Tyson is not the greatest IMO, but he is the one HW I would choose over any other (possibly Dempsey too) to KO an iron chinned opponent in their prime.

Apart from a big weight advantage Tyson would also be taller and outreach Marciano, a luxury that Tyson never had. Not many fighters stood toe to toe with Tyson for very long, especially ones smaller than him.

No room for Louis, Liston or Foreman in that exclusive category? Hell, those men did it in their careers (against opposition of varying quality, but still), no?

Tyson KO 4. Marciano too easy to hit and he'd be cut all to hell by this time in the fight.
