Skelton / Greenberg

According to Secondsout.com, Matt Skelton's team offered Roman Greenberg the chance to fight their man next month. Basically, team Greenberg refused the contest because they believe it has come to early for the 22 year old.

How about this guy as an opponent for either boxer. For Greenberg its a step up from his recent competition, even though due to inactivity I rate him lower than Francis. For Skelton it would be a good mark time contest and another defence of his British / Commonwealth title.

I wouldn't mind seeing either fighter share a ring with him.

I would imagine Skelton would TKO him in 1 or 2.

He has a good KO percentage himself, and knockout Sprott far earlier than Skelton did.

I did say it would be primarly a keep busy fight and would prefer it to Greenberg.

I'm not convinced on Roman Greenburg, he does have some nice moves, but he seems to get distracted in the ring sometimes, i can see him walking into one.

As for the fight with Skelton, at the moment i would have done the same .
£20,000 isn't that much, and i think Skeltons pressure would have been a bit to much for Greenburg at the moment.

Skelton would beat Llewellyn quite easily, he has no chin at all.

Wayne Llewelyn hasn't got the chin to cope with the pressure and workrate Skelton would put him under.

£20,000 is nothing. Greenberg must get £10,000 a fight at the moment.

Greenberg will probably be fighting for the Europen title in a years to 18 months time, wheras Skelton will, unfortunately, still be fighting the Keith Long's of this world.

I take it Israel is included in Europe under EBU rules.

Could Greenburg not get British citizenship if he wanted to anyway? Is it not after five years residency or something?

Greenberg or Skelton are both not able to beat Sam, Krasniqi, W.Klitschko or Hoffmann in the next two years. so the EBU-title is impossible, even a fight is only possible if Krasniqi would lay down the title (for a WBO-title-fight) and Sam would win a world-title.

Are you serious? I think Harrison would beat Greenberg handily.

I think Harrison v Skelton is a good fight and a close call.

Harrison and Greenberg have the same level but Greenberg is about 10 years younger and could improve if he would change his coach and promoter. he is one class behind e.g. Dimitrenko who has the same age. Harrison must be lucky to reach Skeltons level but he is definetely too old to be a talent who can widely improve.

I have never really rated Skelton myself I would guess he would have his head boxed off but I certainly thing that Skelton is too good for Greenburg right not. Having said that I don't like greenburg so maybe they should make that fight.

Both, Harison and Greenberg, haven´t fought a top 100 guy. this fight will be close. Skelton is top 30 or 40 and should actually beat both.

i think Audley would beat greenburg with ease. I've seen nothing so far to suggest to me that greenburg is anything special, he looks flashy against the opposition he's faced so far, let's see him in with someone who has skills and can punch.

I keep hearing great things about Roman Greenberg but from what I have seen myself I have not been excited or too impressed to be honest.

I just don't like his style, every time he fights on the BBC he seems to go up against someone like Luke Simpkin who knows what his job is, win after a few rounds and then the pundets say "well he didn't show his true class tonight" or something like that
