Khan-Salita Betting
Re: Khan-Salita Betting
I hope Salita isn't embarressed, he seems like a nice guy and its a great story. However, I cannot see what he brings to really win. He might catch an over confident Khan lucky - but thats a big doubt.
I thought he conducted himself very well in the press conference, and I was a tad dissapointed with Roach getting a little personal about his abilities and the abilities of his stablemates.
When Salita's former (I believe) manager came to negotated a deal for Salita to fight Mbaye (when Mbaye was controled by Warren) - he told me that in his heart of hearts he thought Mbaye would be too good.... and this was after his shaky performance vs Baulbi.

All things considered, this might be the first time I bet on Khan, and by KO.

Khan was put down and should have been stopped against Willie Limond.Exoddus wrote:I'm having a little punt on Khan RD1, RD2 and RD3. Average of 20/1.
Salita has been put down by a guy with 4 KO's from 37 fights in the first round. And twice in the first round by a guy with 2 KO's in 27 fights.
Khan starts landing the jab, it'll only take a couple of over hand rights to wobble this guy. If he gets wobbled, Khan will be on him like a rash and the ref will be only to happy to jump in and end the fight.
Khan's crystal glass chin means anyone he fights will have a chance.

Re: Khan-Salita Betting
Ive had a Prescott and Salita £100 win double. Prescott 4/5, Salita 4/1. Speculative, but worth it for a bit of a punt.Hagler2002 wrote:Ive had a ton on it @ 4/5Riddick Blowe wrote:All things considered, this might be the first time I bet on Khan, and by KO.

Re: Khan-Salita Betting
Khan looks to be the most likely winner because he has the speed advantage. That said Salita does have a good KO punch so he cant be written off altogether. I dont think Salita is going to try for a points victory, I am sure he knows he couldnt do it. I believe he intends to target Khans chin and hopes to land the big one to take him out. Its his only chance of getting the upset so Khan needs to be very careful and not rush in as he did with Prescott. Khan has learned a lot under Roach so I expect him to prevail and not make any silly mistakes.

Re: Khan-Salita Betting
Khan in 3-4 looks a likely one, he should do this guy early, looks another level and I think he'll realise that early on & step it up.
Could be underestimating the new yorker, but he's been down a few times, and well protected. Khan will be too fast on the draw - bang bang goodnight.

Well done to 'the goods' tonight also, two good winners, I certainly got the Mitchell fight wrong, glad I left it alone now as I was going double up my Khan bet with a Prescott win.

I got a cheeky £200 return, if he had last 1 more round it would have been a fair bit more, new he was a hype job.
Re: Khan-Salita Betting
