Smith struggled a bit, but was in with a guy who looked like a weighed a stone more.

Bellew tried to blast his guy out, but couldn't shift him and had to grond it out.

I completly busted my right hand in the 1st round so boxed with just the left.. Either way I think even if I had a bat in there I wouldn't have stopped him!! The guy had the hardest head I've ever felt.. :(

Im happy with the result of 60-54 BUT Im not overly happy with my performance!! I'll keep learning though and I showed a different side to m last night that I can be just as effective on the back foot as the front..

Thanks again all you guys for the support.. Hope anyone who came enjoyed there night.. :TU:

Stephen looked good as usual, Hard to show all he's got in a 4 rounder BUT he looked class again by all accounts!! The kid is a little star!!

I didn't perform well at all to be honest but just did what I could under the circumstances to get the win really. Was told I wouldn't be fighting till after the khan bout, so went out to watch the Bell Vs Simpson fight with it being my weight. When that finished, I went back the changing rooms an was told I had 1 minute to get in the ring! I had to literally tape some gloves on an run straight in, no warm up at all...added to that it being a 4 round fight. I think the way they mess u round in the pro's is a joke! I felt the amateurs was a lot more organised. Apologies for the performance to those who expected more...better to come fingers crossed. Stephen.

Being scheduled as a 'swing' fight has got to be hard - you could end up warming up 2 or 3 times in a night and never really know when you will get to fight. I remember your fight in Brum Swifty - it was after the main event and the security cleared the arena leaving you to box in front of the cleaners... Frank needs to give you a fixed position on the card for your next fight I reckon!

As I said on a previous thread you will have gained a lot from getting the rounds under your belt, you can't blast everyone out and it is a good opportnity for you to try out other things.
I imagine the opponent was criticised beforehand for having a poor record etc but such fighters are worth their weight in gold
