Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
What can we say about last evening's shambles!
- The tug-of-war, how corny was that but it filled up a bit of time and allowed Charlotte to show of her wonderful skills in blowing a whistle.
- Pradeep, what a wuss and took over as the tourament's turkey from Jungle Boy.
- But it was a close run thing, with Jungle Boy putting in an heroic effort at the end, blubbering away attempting to wrest the "Richard Cranium" award away from the weasley Singh.
- Guys, tone down the macho BS about it being "my time etc"! You are carrying on like the moles on Charlotte's model show!
The promoters must have been thrilled, at last a decent fight to edit and highlight. Both Junior and Victor put their skin into the bout and from the more than usual extended highlights shown, Junior appeared to be ahead on points and landed much more and showed more boxing skills, where Victor was one dimensional with his walk up style. Victor didn't look the victor at the end with his battered dial.
The crowd was a bit shocked at the result and as would have been most viewers, and Mundine must be wringing his hands with excitement if the slow coach Victor eventually sneaks through to meet him.
So just what have the writers got in store for us next week? Will the super sooks: Sonni and Singh get to show up in the square circle?

Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
I watched about 3 rounds at the site, i couldn't watch it all cause some of the videos wouldn't play, they might have been uploading still, and i watched the last minute or 2 of the last round on tv
Sorry but i couldn't see how talipaie won them rounds, landing a few fast combos to the body now and then and missing with most the headshots he threw isn't impressive, it's bullshit, and if talipaie thinks differently then he is a raging bullshitter like darchinyan
ha ha just kidding, that is what vics last opponent called him, i don't agree with it
Oganov was landing the harder and more clean headshots
I don't know why people are acting like talipie dominated him, he far from did that, it was a competitive fight

AUSTRALIAN boxing champion Junior Talipeau has slammed NSW boxing officials after suffering his first professional loss.
A contestant on Fox 8 reality program The Contender, Talipeau was forced to leave the show during an episode aired last night when he was ruled to have lost on points to hard-hitting Russian Victor Oganov.
Most observers, including Oganov, thought Talipeau won easily, prompting the powerful middleweight to demand an investigation.
"I just don't know what the judges were thinking," he said.
"Were they asleep through the fight? There has to be an investigation into it."
Considered one of the best young boxers in Australia, Talipeau said he was "gutted" to leave the show and miss out on the prize which is a fight against Anthony Mundine.
"I thought it was an easy win," Talipeau, a former Dragons lower grade player, said.
"I was absolutely gutted when the decision came through. The crowd was booing and everyone in the room knew I had won. Even guys from the other team were giving it to the judges.
"I want to fight the best and I am itching to get a crack at Mundine and Sakio Bika.
"I mean I showed that I could beat Oganov who was rated as the hardest puncher in the world."
We have also been told the show's producers are far from happy with the officials who have robbed the show of the best potential match-ups.

Remember this is a reality show where the producers milk the fighters and their families for the best story angles.
Notice the attention paid to Nadar's and Victor's wives in their support of their fighting spouses backed up by their family values and presentation.

He landed some nice combos to vics body, i didn't see many clean head shots land and a lot looked like they missed, vic landed a lot of clean head shots and hard shots, talipai has a great chin and good speed i will give him that, i don't think he will beat bika or mundine thoughMarlin wrote:AUSTRALIAN boxing champion Junior Talipeau has slammed NSW boxing officials after suffering his first professional loss.

Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
I have lost all respect for Predapp Singhe.
What a baby!
None of those fighters would even come close to defeating Mundine or Geale.Victor Organov is overated!
Best bit last week was when Briggs stood over Sonni!

Victor oganov is short and has short arms, he does well considering he is not the most genetically gifted fighter, He only has a 69" reach, pavlik and froch have a 75" reachLiver Crusher wrote:I have lost all respect for Predapp Singhe.

He always comes to fight, i think he would do better than kessler againts ward cause when a guy is hard to hit kessler refuses to let his hands go, oganov would jump on ward, he wouldn't beat him by points though.
Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
Hmm i wonder where Eric T is haven't heard from him in a while?
Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
Well said, I second that view... lets not forget that this is a reality TV show first and about the sweet science as a second thought...Beltane wrote:Remember this is a reality show where the producers milk the fighters and their families for the best story angles.

By Jesus, can't Kariuki punch!
Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
i hate the Sonni. His right hand reminds me of calzaghes. Bitch slap.
Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
Yeah, that was some of the sloppiest punching I have seen, but I still think I like him more than Pradeep.
What about McKinnon saying Pradeep's English not being good is why he lost arguements. Has he heard Victor speak!?!

Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
You know what, Victor & Nader are massive soaks and threaten by Pradeep...because he is younger and more disciplined then they are.
Victor sits there going on about how Pradeep needs to step up and fight...seriously what the fornicate he has been trying to get a fight over the past few weeks and keeps getting shitted on by Nader (who he stepped aside for, so nader showed no class when he should have backed him).
Pradeep is rite the government do give 1 month visa's for people from 3 world countries which is given when like a 20g bond is laid down, so his uneducated opinion should be kept to himself (he also proved that he is a one dimensional boxer and can easily be outboxed)
Pradeep showed he will never ammount to shiet with his cry baby attitude, he has a heart of a quitter, I like Sonnis character but seriously the bloke cant box he slaps and slaps and slaps...get him Off!!!!!
Kariz to win this bad boy for sure

Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
Last night's quick KO of Adrian by Kariz no doubt caused the re-editing of the episodes into a double header. So what was learned from last night's reality rumble:
- As Brute said earlier in this thread, Kariz Karivlei can really hit!
- Johnny Lewis staged his longest apperance, with the resolution of the final bouts selection using buckets as a lucky-dip, when it appeared that behind the scenes that Pradeep went into hiding after another dummy spit and caused the producers a rethink.
- Cougar Charlotte never uttered a word. No doubt her best work hit the editors floor when they had to recast this episode.
- Jungle Boy got a few brownie points with his improving persona and he did the show proud by saving us viewers from wasting further time with the prosaic Pradeep.
- As for the sooky Singh, the man has rupees on himself and shares in Kleenex! The producers and other contenders must be glad to see the back of him as he was nothing but a drama quean and an embarrassment!
So whats in store for us next week? Charlotte may be back in the thick of it, using her experience from the Australia's Next Top Model circus to see how the fellas scrub up in "bags of fruit". The show needs to lighten up a bit with all the cat-calling getting a bit tedious.

I lost all respect for Nader and if I ever had any for Victor I would have lost it too. Yes Pradeep was a sook but they just preyed on the weak with the shit they gave him. Mr religeous Nader certainly looked very hypocritic

Re: OZ Contender Series results & video links to date
Nader is a fornicating idiot on this show.
However in saying that, both he and Victor obviously saw the weakness in Pradeep's psyche and proceeded to play on it. (I'm sure there's an appropriate lions and lambs quote or something I could use here)
Victor to me seems like the prototypical Russian. All seriousness, Ivan Drago style in his approach to everything especially when it came to Pradeep's attitude (not talking about his fighting here).
I actually wanted to see Pradeep win however, I really don't want Sonni in there. How many attempted groin strikes in a row was that in the highlights? Three? Four? But I was mostly just hoping Pradeep manned up and would stay on and no longer be a sook. Can't wait (hoping) to see Jungle Boy be put to sleep. Someone please do it.

i reckon the sook(pradeep)would give it to both nader and victor

It does not look good for Clenshaw. He won a split against a man Wood flattened in 2 rounds.
Didn't Wood nail him!
