this is really good news, as I have said befor Im not sure if he can win but he will certainly put up a damn good fight. Should be a good eavaning to remember for him and a good pay day. Just read the report on Hennassy's web page I think the way they go about bussiness is very reffreshing when you compair it to certain other UK promoters.

Agree with all the above - Great news for Howard at a time when some of our domestic best seem unable/unwilling to secure the big fights.. Hopefully, this will provide a kick up the ar$e to rival promoters who have seemed all to happy to keep their fighters in the comfort zone..... Good luck to Howard - Lets hope he gives his all for British boxing, on the other side of the pond!

I imagen that a certain promoter will find it very hard to be pissy about this one in his weekly collum. Also I respect the way they didn't announce anything befor the fight was confirmed, the was non of the useuall bussiness you get when one fighter blasts the other over the purse etc.

Yes, rather hard for anyone to gloat about what they have achieved to date, and in a relatively short space of time.

I wish personally that boxing promotion generally was less adversarial, it does the sport little good. Imagine if the organisers of the Australian Tennis open, were constantly slagging off wimbledon and trying to put them out of business, imagine what a state Tennis would be in...

Again, I can't wait to see what sh!te is written in our favourite Sunday column.. You just know there'll be something.......

It's funny really.. Back in the 80's Micky Duff was allegidly sued by an up and coming promoter for "restraint of trade".. You'd think in light of that that some healthy competition would be considered more than welcome....

I seem to recall Sports Network actually gave Hennessy a sort of back handed compliment in admitting that they were surprised that he'd secured the title shot, it was on allegedly.tv.

Diddn't Warren critisise Hennassy for butting David Walker at risk. Obveousely a cairing promoter only miss matches other fighters and not his own.

Maybe they were surprised the challenger was willing to go to the Champions back yard to fight for a proper title.....

This is just an extremely good fight..... I can't wait.

What like best is that Howard is tough enough that you just know Hopkins won't stop him early. I'm pretty sure this fight will go the distance...and as a result I'm also quite sure Hopkins will win a decision (regardless of what happens) which is a shame for Howard.

What IS possible is for Howard to stop Hopkins. Possible....

Awesome, Can't wait. :TU:

yeah i know what you mean, there's usually some feeling of doom that our british fighter will be wiped out early doors (I've got that feeling with hatton/tszyu).
