Lindsay - Simpson is a great fight
Swifty needs another year and another 4 fights at least, IMO
Appleby's future is at 130lbs, IMO he is too big for feather
Re: John Simpson
Agreed,
Simpson deserves the praise and not AAA, north of the border.

Re: John Simpson
Cost me money in both Truscott fights but you have to hand it to him. Game as a pebble, strong and determined. Totally unfashionable but an example of what dedication and hard graft can achieve. Deserves a big fight and payday.

Re: John Simpson
Good fighter, throws the left to the body like Richard Williams.
Get this Man a European title shot.

Get this Man a European title shot.
Re: John Simpson
simpson derves everything he gets done it all the hard way. he goes to show a loss is not the end of the world
Re: John Simpson
Lindsay does seem the best fight for him next- hope they can get it on, although Lindsay has a bout lined up soon.
He may be in line for a commonwealth defence against an African too- a payday, at least.
Or indeed- there are some potentially excellent match ups for the commonwealth belt- Australians Jackson Asiku or Billy Dib would be good to see.

Re: John Simpson
Simpson is very good and under-rated he is strong and good at cutting of the ring and making people fight his fight, I think Lindsay v Simpson would be a cracker both come forward and have sturdy chins I see it going the duration with both knackered at the end but I see Lindsay being able to keep him of early and build up a lead early but Simpson wouldnt stop and keep throwing and landing on Lindsay but Lindsay manages to hang on and squek a close decision
Re: John Simpson
Jackson Asiku has gone past the Commonwealth now, he's looking on the World scene after his IBO Feather title win ( not that the IBO has more cred than the Commonwealth ). Asiku has been Commonwealth, Asian, African and Australian Champ, he wants the World now.whicker wrote:Lindsay does seem the best fight for him next- hope they can get it on, although Lindsay has a bout lined up soon.

Re: John Simpson
i dont know much about the current ebu champ yefimovych but looking at his record, he doesnt seem to have any spectacular wins, only name i know are juan garcia martin (who appleby stopped in 1), aktas who went 8 rounds with michael hunter and esham pickering.
would be a winnable fight for simpson.
would love to see him get a big fight, doesnt get enough recognition up here!

Re: John Simpson
Good performance again from Simpson. Who promotes him? He deserve a fight at home next!
Re: John Simpson
Yes, Simpson has been doing great. Props to him.
Another great match (from a fan's point of view) would be Simpson--Choi. Would love to see this. But am very aware that this match would be all risk, no reward for Simpson, seeing that Choi isn't ranked by the IBF any more. Would be a great fight for Choi, though, with the potential to get him back in the rankings...
Pity it's very unlikely...

Re: John Simpson
Not sure, Asiku is one of the most avoided fighters on the world scene. I guess he's in the 'who needs em club'whicker wrote:Do you think he will get a shot?Des1 wrote:Jackson Asiku has gone past the Commonwealth now, he's looking on the World scene after his IBO Feather title win ( not that the IBO has more cred than the Commonwealth ).
