Whats the plan for Clev if successful???

Campella the WBA champ??? Hopkins would touch him, Dawson and Cloud would both eat him, how about Glen Johnson???

by the looks of it its not even on Italian TV so a stream could be hard to find for it. Its on a Wednesday night. Hopefully Sky will splash out on it, it is a EBU Title afterall.

You'd imagine they would - Fwank would probably have ordered Cleverly to pass on the chance otherwise.

Thats a big call.

Clev should defend his euro title a few times, before moving into fringe then world class. Dont see the sense in going fomr a relatively weak euro champ, to travoris cloud in one jump. Clev can eb caught, and cloud can bang.

has Julio Cesar Gonzales retired? Could he be tempted over?

Can't wait for this fight, it will be another chance for Clev to up his game again and I think he will do.

I think he will need a knock out or stoppage though.

I think the only big American name that could beat Clev is Hopkins and I think that would be by fighting dirty. I think a fight with Dawson would be a classic and would bring them both fame and deserved

are you being serios?

dawson would eat him. it wouldnt even be competitive, cleverly is a good boxer and is getting better each fight but its a fact hes only ever beat 1 decent fighter in oakey.

there no where near in the same league. dawson is in the prem and cleverlys in league 2.

One thing is for sure, the Light Heavyweight division is shaping up very nicely with Cloud, Dawson, Murat, Cleverly, Pascal and Sumenov all going strong. Get rid of some of the Hall of Fame passengers like Hopkins, Jones and Johnson and you have a super division imo.

In that case they should feed Dawson more often

I never said that Cleverly would beat Dawson, I just think it would be a good fight, I don't and nor does many other people consider Dawson to be a big name so it would be good for both boxers exposure.

On the subject of who would win, in my eyes I can't see many people coping with Clevs speed and in a couple of fights time he would of improved more and would stand a good chance. Dawson's wins against an old and now predictable Glen Johnson, all on points and his 2 points wins against Tarver don't overly impress. Who else is on his win list? Ademek was he not drained to make the weight? Can't remember but he is a natural Cruiserweight. All of these wins, wide margins they might be but where's his knock out successes and stoppages to?

Ok Clev hasn't fought many well known boxers but he has the speed and skills to nick a few rounds off of Dawson now

cant believe where even having this conversation. :o

dawson has fought some real class fighters in tarver and johnson, and you also forgot to mention tomasz adamek who was unbeaten when they fought and had over 30 fights. every1 knows how good of a boxer dawson is he is rated highly by every 1 in the game so dont know how the hell you say people dont consider him a big name in boxing

cleverly has had 1 decent opponent, in his entire career, (who took the fight on 2 weeks notice) he was dropped and hurt of joey vegas, (i was there) he had a hard fight with fry (who is an old man, and had 3 fights in 2 years previous.) you say cleverly would pinch a few rounds, he would get destroyed it wouldnt even be a fight. you name names before saying who has dawson fought worth talking about bar tarver and johnson, who has cleverly fought? bum africans. billy boyle (oh my god) mclintosh, unbelievably raw. any1 else? oh and you say dawson beat an old johnson, the same johnson would k.o. cleverly in under 4 rounds.

there not in the same league, believe me.

Tarver, Johnson, Adamek, and even Eric Harding are WAY better than the guys Cleverly has been beating. He hasn't proven he has those skills at the world class level. It is easy to look good against the likes of Fry, Boyle, and Mcintosh, none of them are anywhere near world class. Beating Brancalion doesn't really won't make much of a statement either. Brahemer annihlated him in 83 seconds and he hasn't beaten any top fighters himself.

Cleverly would lose very convincingly to Dawson right now.
