McWilliams and McJoe Arroyo announced they are turning.
Both represented Puerto Rico at the 2008 Olympics and McWilliams won gold at the 2009 Worlds finishing first in the flyweight weight class.
Story from SanJuan Star
Brothers McJoe and McWilliams Arroyo announced Tuesday their decision to enter professional boxing and not participate in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez.
“The decision is final and binding to finish our careers as amateur boxers,” said McWilliams, a gold medalist as a flyweight at the world amateur boxing championships in Milan in September. “We understand that we have had very successful careers and have given much to our country.”
McJoe was the bantamweight bronze medalist at the 2007 world championships.
The brothers said they would have preferred to finish their amateur commitments after the Mayagüez Games, but could not reach an agreement with the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, which asked them to remain amateurs until the 2012 Olympics.
“We understand their position, but we are already 24 years old and for 12 years have represented the island in amateur events,” said McWilliams. “We feel that we are ready to make the jump [to the professional ranks].”

And make some money like Trinidad and Cotto. Can't blame then for wanting to make some money. Unless the PROC was offering big money to stay amateur, they made the right move. They will do well in the paid ranks.NYboxing wrote: “We feel that we are ready to make the jump [to the professional ranks].”

I've known both since they were 15. Wonderful people and have definitely represented Puerto Rico well. I wish them both the very best and will follow their pro careers.

These two will be the next stars of Puerto Rico!
I wish them the best and I know they will become world champions one day!

I think both of them will make good professionals. They are both skilled, hard punching, and have a potent body attack, which will allow them to excel in as pro's, at least in my opinion,

Any news on who they will sign with as far as promoter & mangers goes?
I could see them going with The Rivera's and also Top Rank.
