Anybody fancy Levin to squeeze out a win?

I know he's mediocre, I made a few quid betting against him with Jeremy Williams, but Valuev is like a comatose Carnera.

And Levin is 3/1.

Clay-Bey is 5/2 against a fellow plodder with much less boxing ability.

Any thoughts?

I pick both Valuev and Sam to win on point or just maybe a late stoppage.

I hope Eurosport show these fights.

Yeah i attend to agree with that, Sam reminds me a bit of Francesco Damiani (remember him?) in his style. I have yet to see Valuev but his win over Nobles was good form albeit in slightly unsatisfying circumstances and Levin is nothing special so UD's all round

Isn't Markussen-Tsypko also on this card?

Indeed I do, he was the first WBO Heavyweight Champion of the World. I have his fight against Soth Africa's Johnny DuPlooy when he won the title. I remember the ITV commontator Reg Gutteridge saying before the fight "He has the face of a farmer and the body of the wrestler, but he gets the job done".

It is. Overall its a pretty good card so far.

Nicolai Valuev 39-0-0-1 29ko) vs Attila Levin (29-2 23ko) for WBA intl heavyweight title.

Sinan Samil Sam (22-2 15ko) vs Lawrence Clay-Bey (21-2 16ko) for WBC intl heavyweight title.

Rudy Markussen (29-1-0-1 17ko) vs Vitali Tsypko 14-0-0-1 8ko) for EBU supermiddleweight Title and IBF eliminator (maybe WBO also since Markussen aleady is WBO #1??)

Arthur Abraham (14-0 14ko) vs TBA for WBA Intl middleweight title. Was original scheduled to fight Daniel Edouard who will fight Jermain Taylor instead

Danilo Haussler (24-3 6ko) vs Mohammed Said (16-3 10ko). Rematch from a fight in Las Vegas where Haussler IMO was robbed

Good old Danilo will be out for revenge then, he got a gift against Glenn Catley though so what goes around comes around i suppose.

If Daniel Edouard had signed to fight Abraham this would be an awesome fight card, his up and downer with Willie Gibbs was a war.

Eduard vs Taylor will be pretty good also, Eduard is a good fighter. Yes, Steve Gibbs vs Eduard would probably be in my top 4 fights of 2004.

Valuevs going to be tough to beat because of his sheer size. Not much of a puncher, he clubs a bit. Levin seems to have gone of the rails, getting all tattoos and shit and coming in heavy.
