Naz simply began to believe the hype, 100%.
That involved family members in the main wishing to keep everything "in house" and ensuring nothing financially was given away lightly.
He totally under valued the involvement of his mentor, Brendan, and his close friends from the Gym.
The routine that goes into a Boxers prep is vital.
Sadly he only realised that when it was too late.
Brendan worked for gratis for Naz from the age of 8, and deserved every penny he got paid when he hit the big time.
That continuing percentage (had it done so) paled into insignificance value wise when the full impact of going it alone is considered.
Training alone, suddenly realising the crutch that was Brendan was missing, and his pals from the Gym, how can you put a price on that ?
Naz knew it, but put a face on it.
Retrospective review is a wonderful thing, but I often wonder what would have happened had he stayed at Wincobank.
Good insight mate, agreed...
