reading a few other threads made me think, What do you think are boxings biggest what ifs?

What if naz didnt change to southpaw?

What if Cus D'Amato didnt die when he did?

i immediately thought both of those as soon as i read the title . i really , honestly believe tyson would have gone on to be possibly the greatest , its a debate that will always go on , but the time he served cost him his prime , you could argue in the same vain that what if ali had done time on his draft refusal , or even if he agreed to the draft . boxing is full of ifs

I have to disagree here. Tyson didn't have the mentality or discipline to be the greatest. It's no surprise he got in trouble with the law. Give Tyson Holyfield's character & you may have the greatest. Tyson himself had far too many flaws.

The majority of shitty scores come from either foreign judges or judges who arn't local to the area where the fight is being held. It's not where the judges are from, its who the home fighter is.

I've always wondered who would win in a fight between a prime Mike Tyson and prime Lennox Lewis. Tyson was past it when they fought, Lewis still had something left.

I always believed that there was no way Douglas would have made it up in time had the count not been a little slow - he barely made it up at 10, in fact he wasn't fully up by the time the refere tolled ten. Douglas' eyes were glassy as hell, and his legs were like two noodles.

How would Tyson's career have panned out had he successfully defended his title against Douglas?
