Only thing putting me off is the expense, 40 quid on a train, plus hotel, booze, and ticket, you're looking at a couple of hundred sheets at least.

wouldn´t it be less expensive to rent a car and drive together to Bolton? i am thinking about flying to London and watching this fight if it will be really fixed. this wil be the biggest fight in Europe this year.

my nearest airports are Hannover or Hamburg. but if i would go to Endland I would prefer to visit London. I love this city the flights are cheap and maybe a boxrec-meeting with J and all the other guys who are from London could be possible.

Well it's a bit of a shitty drive up to Bolton, remember, we don't have your roads over here, and the motorway will probably be absolutely chokablok the day of the fight too, presuming it's on a friday. You'd want to fly in the day before and then drive up the next day.

I've a feeling getting a hotel in manchester city centre could be murder too come fight time, might have to book well in advance, this is one of the few fights people will be prepared to travel for.

James/Bubi :i think its on the saturday night/sunday morning. June 4th/june 5th.

so you would drive up on the saturday which would be easier than friday... you also got the M6 toll road which makes life easier....

anyway if you are in london Bubi, it would be nice to see you. i might even get Julius Francis to come along and meet his biggest fan

They could realistically have it on at about 2am, so the card could start at 10pm or so.

That would make it about what, 8 pm east coast is it? It's normally east coast time they base the fight around isn't it. Would be pretty early for the west coasters though.

yeah read yesterday that it would be late but not the 4 am being touted, circa 1/2 am is more likely. thats manageable. Wait and see i guess bbut if its on at 4 am im tempted just to hop back on a train and come straight home afdter the fight. Might mean an hour wait at a statio0n but whats the point in getitng a hotel if you dont get to it til 6 am.

Anyeway ill get a list of geezers who wanna go and let you know Jim. There should be a crew like last time safety in numbers and all.

I will have to see how much it's going to cost all told. We could just share a room between a bunch of us and bring the costs down. Mind you, getting from Bolton to Manchester at 3 in the morning wouldn't be much fun, about 20 miles or so isn't it?

If the cost looks prohibitive, I'll settle for making a night of it on the sofa with a few mates and a crate of 10 of lager.

yeah mate last time i went up there we got a suite room and peop-le crashed when they were able. Im gonna get the mutz nutz tickets tho, Im not effing about going all the way up there for a shitty view.

i think Julius is a nice guy but he needs to retire. it would be nice to met you both and all the other London posters here like James McDonnell, J, jameswilson etc. could be on the friday before the fight. does the train also need 4 hours?

don´t you think that there are hotels available in Bolton to make the whole thing easier? or will the whole city be so overcrowded? what do you think will the tickets cost (one to se the boxers)?

Why you think Samm is amazing and he lost to the 2 of them, I dunno if you misread. Kras and Gomez are Samm's 2 best opponents and he lost to them. Notice Samm was never landing crippling uppercuts on these guys.

Warming to the idea of attending, to be honest though the whole Bolton thing is a right put off for me. Not just the town but the views in a stadium are gonna be dogshit you might aswell be watching it on TV as staring up at the screens in the stadium when you cant see sweet FA.

If its Bolton might have to get mangled up in London and watch it 'on the cheap' - probably cost more than going up there in the end he he.

i would only go if i could get a good seat in order to see the boxers. going there and watching a screen is as you said dogshit.

The atmosphere will be absolutely electric though, I've been to two Hatton fights at the MEN, and it was incredible, imagine what this one will be like, with 30,000 plus fans at a footie stadium.

They would surely have to use the screens though, the view from the back would be terrible, ringside seats are going to cost an arm and a leg, there's no way my budget will stretch to it that's for sure.

What so the WBC rankings are gospel now are they, yeah well of course Owen Beck is no4 Heavyweight isnt he.

I dont think you can place Luan, Gomez or Samm above nay of those guys yet considering the guys those 3 have beaten. On account of Gomez' win over Samm I would say he is the closest to that top10 but his loss to that unknown guy sets him back as well. He has the most promise out of himself Samm and Kras thats for sure tho.

why are Rahman Toney, McCline, Barrett and Golota better than Luan or Sam? they have only beaten average americans , except Rahman - but his "good times" are long away and Meehan is by far worse than Bakhtov or Hoffmann. he is just an overhyped aussie.
