ward and direll - whos faster

not the best new thread , just fancied seeing some opinions on which one of these 2 american slicksters is faster, not a argument as to who is better as that at the moment looks firmly like ward

i'd say dirrell, who seems only marginally less quick than RJJ was with his feet, to me.

Dirrell is quicker, but he fights scared and whines too much. His performances against Curtis Stevens and Froch were sh*t. He's the type who'll quit if the going ever gets really tough. People say he should believe in his ability more and go for it, but to do that means to risk being cracked himself and i don't think his chin and heart will stand for that.

Ward on the other hand is a fighter at heart, who believes in his ability and is not afraid to engage. He puts his speed and talents to best use.

you're right it is a bit of a daft thread , there both real fast....but speed's only one attribute. I can say with complete ignorance that I have never seen Ward fight in my life. I understand he looked real good the other night.
But from Dirrell's performance against Froch I think there is much more to come from that fellow...

I think Dirrell is quicker but Ward uses his speed much more effectively as an offensive asset, whereas Dirrell was more concerned with keeping out of the way.

interesting comments, i also other than kessler have never seen ward fight and was very impressed with his alround skills

I think Direll has the quicker hands. Would still pick Ward to beat him though.
