And Foreman was 15-0 and an Olympic gold medalist fighting the 35 year old Peralta who was a light heavyweight most of his career and whose prime was in the early 1960s. Foreman should have been able to handle Peralta at that stage (like he did for the most part but not without problems)
Felix Trinidad was the same age & 40-1-0 after losing to Bernard Hopkins. Still ranked among the top Jr. Middle & Middleweights on the planet.

Same fighter, was he? Doubtful.
Yes. So one loss means he's ruined? That's ridiculous. Tito looked just like he always did vs Cherifi . . .but instead of revenge (what motivated Foreman post-Ali) Tito was more interested in living the good life in San Juan and took several years off.

I never said ruined...I said lessened. I see it his performances, as many do. You & John L, obviously don't.

Walcott is one of my picks as a very live underdog against Ali. think he has a lot of the tools to pull off a shock win.

I think Walcott would be favourite (for me) against Floyd. He should get a decision against Lyle, though you never know, but I imagine that he'd lose the rest.

I think Ali would win a close fight; Walcott style would cause a lot of problems due to his footwork, feints, movement and great left hook. This would be a close fight. Joe Louis felt Walcott would beat Ali.

Walcott v Liston is an interesting fight Liston had great reach and power but didn't cut the ring off great and if Walcott boxed like he did first time against Louis he could pull this off. However I would still favour Sonny possibly by stoppage. Interestingly both of these guys seemed to be better contenders then champion they both cleaned up the division before winning the strap.

I could see a fight against Patterson going either way but might just give the edge to Walcott via decision I think both men would get knocked downed at some point in the match.

I think Frazier put too much pressure and would get the decision victory the beginning rounds would go Walcott’s way but eventually Frazier would take over and win it down the stretch.

Walcott would outbox Lyle to a fairly wide decision I have a feeling this wouldn't be the most entertaining fight with both men rarely taking chances.

I think Walcott style is all wrong for Foreman he would box circles round him he'd have to be vary of George's huge power but I think Walcott’s movement would cause too much trouble for Foreman. He'd counter him feint him into traps and constantly frustrate him on course to a fairly comfortable decision.
