Don't get me wrong, I pick Sexton as the favourite here - though would never back against Danny pulling off one last win - but the Norfolk lad will never be a patch on a prime Williams. He hasn't the heart, the punching power or the variety.

Why do you question his heart? What are you basing that on?

He's not in tip top shape, is he - he gassed badly against Rogan under minimal pressure. I also have to say that I did not like how, in their first flight, as soon as he was injured he started sooking to the ref - had Rogan been less of a sporting gentleman, he'd have been finished.

I agree he's not in top shape, but as Carlos pointed out he went to Belfast twice to fight Rogan, has never hit the deck and always comes to fight. His heart can't be questioned. His stamina definitely can.

Williams hasn't looked "on top" since he beat Gammer nearly three years ago. Even then, the fight was even on points against a guy who subsequently did nothing of note.

Agreed it's an intriguing fight though. They always are with Danny Williams!

Williams showed in Prizefighter that he doesn`t really have much left.

His balance and punch resistance look shot. He has been a great servant to boxing and I really don`t need to see him take a pasting from Sexton, which is what is likely to happen.

I like Danny and worry about him keeping fighting. He seems to be getting hurt in just about every fight going right back to the klitchenko and tyson fights. The last time he looked anywahere near his previous form was against Gammer and even then he was shook up a few times. I think the Williams who fought Gammer would beat sexton but he seems to have slipped a lot since then. He looked totally shot in prizefighter and really imo hes an example of the type of fighter who should be retired for his own good at this point of his career. I think every pounch he takes at this point is a punch too many. Sadly I can see him taking a lengthly pounding against Sexton.

Now I hope on the back of Haye's success this means Sky will be looking at more Saturday boxing. It looks like a cracking domestic bill, but I have this fear it might be on PPV.

Kevin Mitchell, Brook vs Jennings, Olympians..... I hope this is just on Sky and not Sky Box Office... it will be really scraping the barrell if the top of the Bill is a British title fight.

Doesn't seem to be much lined up in the states that weekend.

Thought that myself when I saw his interview on Sky. Can't blame him for wanting to go out with one last tear up but admitting your shot before a fight is very worrying. Hopefully he sticks to his word and win, lose or draw calls it day.

I didn't say "looked on top", I said "be on top", like he almost turned things around against Baker in Prizefighter. I definitely don't think he's anything like the Danny Williams he used to be. He's still got power, though.

Speaking of the Gammer fight how the hell did williams manage to get down 228 lbs. He was 288 for the Skelton fight less than a year earlier and 270 for the platov fight less than a year later.

And what better opportunities did he have at 37/38 - beating up more unknown continental journeymen?

Williams has looked like bambi on ice in his last few showings and Sextons jab will tear him apart. 6th round Sexton win.

It was a real shame that this isn't in Norwich any more as with Sexton and the Walsh brothers all on the bill there would have been a massive local interest. Although I feel pretty safe in betting that there will still be a huge turn out of fans from Norfolk.
