I think Mundine is overrated outside Aus, and underrated in Aus.

To clarify - he does have an international reputation, a couple of WBA belts to his name, and obvious talent. He has done a number on an internationally-known name such as Soliman, and hung tough with Kessler, and fans outside Aus still remember these results and rate him highly, since the dross he's served up in the past couple of years have not made headlines outside.

Meanwhile, as a lot of Aussie fans dislike his character, they underrate or downplay his abilities/achievements. But even if I can ignore the character and the controversy, I have to say his recent in-ring exploits have done him no favours.

He has said he can't play football again because his hip is gone. That would hurt his movement.
He can't play football again cause he's too old and skinny, how did this come into play?
