Not the worst decision I've seen in the world, sky's commentary team do tend to brainwash the viewers.

I didn't get sucked in by the commentators. The stats shown that Adamu was missing most his shots. Really didn't see Adamu winning many rounds there at all.

You didn't get sucked in but based it on Sky's stats

seems as I was half listening to me new Paolo Nutini album, I wasn't really listening to the commentary and I still had Carl winning 116-112. I do agree with you though, commentary can contribute to viewers perceptions on fights.

I didn't get sucked in by the commentators, no.

The stats shown that most Adamu's work was wild and his shots were missing, correct? I don't see your point.

You won that clear as day mate. How some clown had that 116-113 for Adamu defies belief. I had a tenner on you to win a UD at 9/2 and considered it in the bag after about 9 rounds.

Something needs to be done about the standard of judging. Adamu wasn't pummelled in every round, but he was consistently outscored in most of them. I'd like to hear the judges who scored for him make their case for doing so. In fact they absolutely must be called in to explain how they reached their tallies. These judges have to be held accountable. Too often now we see a sh*t decision, shake our heads and just carry on to the next one. But it isn't right. After working hard and making the sacrafices in training, boxers deserve to see justice off the judges.

Bad luck Carl, but you can go on from this. Forget the official result, it was still a good, solid learning fight.

Carl you won the fight imo. You landed much more than him. Some of the judging in fights in Britain has been very poor. I hope you get a rematch with him soon.

Sky's team might be able to brainwash those who don't know what they're watching themselves, but those who do could clearly see for themselves that Carl Dilks won the fight.

It wasn't a hard fight to score, most of the rounds were clear cut.

If the best you can say is, 'not the worst decision i've seen in the world' well that says it all right there.

my full scorecard:
D-A
R1: 10-9
R2: 19-19
R3: 29-28
R4: 39-37
R5: 49-46
R6: 59-55
R7: 68-65
R8: 77-75
R9: 87-84
R10:96-94
R11:106-103
R12:116-112

I wouldn't call it daylight robbery but it was a poor decision all the same imo.

Thats about the same as mine, so a 4 point differential which might seem relatively close over a 12 round distance.

But can you see any plausible way a judge could find 116 points to give to Adamu in that fight? I think if you look at it from that angle its a bit more than a poor decision. Maybe not quite scandulous, but pretty sh*tty to say the least.

The Sky stats showed that, now you're going on as if it was a robbery, Glenn had it by what? 3rnds and Dark by 4. They are scoring the fight for the home fighter so have to give the close rnds to Dilks, the judges aren't.

Personally I did think Dilks done enough from rounds 4 to 9 to pull away and win a close decision but I also think he didn't do enough in the last 3 to make it convincing.

well maybe 2 of the rounds I gave to Dilks could have gone to Adamu so based on my scorecard and your scorecard the best he could have done is a draw so I don't know where 116 for Adamu came from. It seems to me that some judges are scoring rounds for boxers who throw more punches but not nessecarily landing. It also has to be taken into account judges like different styles so 115-113 Adamu wasn't a travesty-he could have seen 3 close rounds where I seen 2.

I thought it was a robbery.

If anyone can justify giving Adamu as many rounds as he was given, then maybe i'll change my views, but i think that's highly unlikely.

Two of Adamu's rounds could have quite easily been drawn. They were the rounds that didn't look to have much in them at all, but were given to Adamu because it looked like he was making a comeback (Dilks had comfortably won the previous rounds).

My point (as poorly explained), Dilks could have took it 118-112 in my eyes.
