If anyone can justify giving Adamu as many rounds as he was given, then maybe i'll change my views, but i think that's highly unlikely.
Honestly m8 it wasn't, watch Damaen Kelly-Maludrottu 1, now that was a robbery.

It seems to me that some judges are scoring rounds for boxers who throw more punches but not nessecarily landing. It also has to be taken into account judges like different styles so 115-113 Adamu wasn't a travesty-he could have seen 3 close rounds where I seen 2.
Two of Adamu's rounds could have quite easily been drawn. They were the rounds that didn't look to have much in them at all, but were given to Adamu because it looked like he was making a comeback (Dilks had comfortably won the previous rounds).

My point (as poorly explained), Dilks could have took it 118-112 in my eyes.
true that, however I very rarely score even rounds unless it's a all out war of a round. I'm just trying to think how the judges came to the scores they did. Its a poor decision but in my opinion it doesn't warrant a robbery stamp-that belongs to Guzman-Funeka for this year.

I laid Dilks on Betfair at 1.02 so that shows how confident people were of a home win.

That price was just crazy in what was a close fight and well worth taking on for a small outlay.

Struggle to see Adamu winning that, thought Dilks by 3 rounds at least to be honest, I wonder if our judges were leaning to much the other way in trying to be fair.

Even allowing for punch stats not telling all, it was a fair difference in punches landed to see how they could have give it to Adamu.

Rematch on the undercard of Harrison/Sosnowski seems about right.

Unlucky Carl

Keep going fella

I don't deel sorry for Dilks one bit, he didn't exactly really push for the win (even though I thought he won). All in all a very poor fight and as for Dilks after fight interview, where was the passion?

I agree it was'nt the Best fight.. I thought it was very good Sportsmanship in the interview, thought he took it on the Chin like a Man, if he had to of gone off on one, "I was Robbed i won that fight etc etc" people would be on here saying he's a knob, so either way he cant win....

Poor fight, shouldn't have been a headline TV event, but that doesn't take away the fact that Dilks was robbed.

Matthew Hatton didn't get robbed. From all accounts (I haven't seen the fight) Dilks won, although the point is taken and true, you can't really win with all the fans, no matter if you come off humble or pissed.

As well I'm not making ecuses but I had 3 wkd notice an it was my first 12rd fight an I feel good u now so with 10weeks training I can only be better an work harder the next fight. I had it 117-111 to Dilks a few rounds were close but he was landing the much more cleaner and effective blows, I thought he fought really well and seems very level headed. I'm sure he can come again.

Carl I know its probably too soon to say for definate but what are the chances of a rematch? You clearly won the fight for me and to be robbed on home soil must be incredibly disheartening especially with big fights againts smith, dodson quigley etc now looking unlikely.
