It's a mental image which I find quite disturbing...

Fear not, I have a tendency to sing at the top of my voice whenever Reggae tunes come on, unfortunately I tend to know most of the words too....strangely though this only happens round at J's house for some reason.

If ever there's an example of someone who went pro at the wrong time, it's Kostya. He switched after winning the worlds in Australia in 1991 (held in the November of that year). Seven months later, came the Barcelona Olympics. Kostya was 3-0 as a pro, against nobodies, when they came round. Bet if you ask him if he regrets not winning an Olympic gold, you'd get a definite 'yes'.
He'd have been sensational in the Olympics.

a bit tricky with Kosta as he was still living under a communist regime at the time so the decision wasnt like the one Amir khan has to make....

Gold medal and flat in russia or millions in the bank and undisputed champ...

Despite not winning a gold medal he is widely acknowledged as one of the best amateurs ever...

Not neccessarily, it's not that simple to just walk away from the Russian amateur boxing associaition.
He just won the World amateur championships in a beautiful country and the time was right for him to turn over.
You say he was 3-0 against nobodies by the time the Olympics started, but who did he box in his fourth fight?... Juan LaPorte.
Whilst I would've loved to see him win Olympic gold, it would no way have been a formality. Don't forget a certain Cuban legend happened to scoop the title that year in Barcelona, a Mr Vinent.
