Feb 4 2005 WBC lightweight title (delayed coverage)
Arturo Gatti v Jesse James Leija SS1 22.00 Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City
is gatti vs Leija being shown?
I am glad we are getting the fight of course but why the week delayed coverage? What happened to the Sunday morning stuff when we could get up early and watch the fight as if live? A week later every man and his dog knows the result and it makes it harder for us to discuss the fight with the Americans because by the time we have seen the fight they are bored and have moved onto other topics.
I agree it sucks!!steve689 wrote:I am glad we are getting the fight of course but why the week delayed coverage? I assume the answer is Football, Football, Football.
I did notice Sky hardly mentioned the fact the WBC title is on the line, not like them really. Perhaps they will be emphasising that Tszyu is the undisputed champion. They just called them two world class Light Welters (although Dempsey might have said Lightweights).
Also noticed they hardly mentioned the WBU title last night, normally they call this proposed Nelson vs Enzo fight a unification bout. Last night they made an effort to forget about the WBU and even said "Enzo wasn't to challenge for a world title".
