For all of those interested, I thought I would report on the progress of the project referenced in caption for the encyclopedia. Earlier this year, I set out to create pages for the three main North American titles (NABF, NABO, NABA) that were similar to the pages that exist for the four major world titles (WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF), i.e. pages that list the full lineage of each title and all of the title fights. Finally, I wanted each title fight to link to the "bluebook" description in the boxrec database.
I'm happy to report that the NABA pages are complete (full lineage + the complete list of title fights that link to the bluebooks in the database) and can be accessed here: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/NABA
The NABO pages are similarly almost complete (I'm only missing links to 19 featherweight title fights and those should be completed by year-end) and can be accessed here: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/North ... ganization
The NABF pages are unfortunately lagging far behind (the volume of NABF title fights since its creation is much greater than the NABA or NABO). The full lineage and list of title fights is available, but I still have to create bluebook entries, fight succession boxes and links for hundreds of title fights (only the Heavyweight division has a complete set of links). Those pages can be accessed here: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/NABF
I hope these pages are useful to all who are interested in North American titles. I appreciate and welcome any comments or suggestions on how to make the pages better or more user friendly.
Finally, I have started a similar project for the Commonwealth (far from being complete: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Commo ... ng_Council) and Canadian titles (more advanced, but still not close to being complete: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Canad ... Federation), in addition to completing same for the Québec and Ontario titles (http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Quebec_Boxing_Council and http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Ontar ... ng_Council)
Best holiday wishes to all,

Thank you jeremy, much appreciated.jeremy wrote:Great work and thankyou
To update my initial report, the NABO pages are now complete (all title fights have a link to a bluebook entry and fight succession boxes).
I will now turn my attention to the NABF title fights.

Good work.
I wonder however, could say the NABF provide you with the officials (refs and judges) for the fights as the 1970's and 80's information is so vacant on who the officials actually were.
This would really add to the info here.
Thanks,

I'll certainly make the request, nothing to lose in doing so. I'll keep you posted.informationnexus wrote:Good work.

Unfortunately, no luck getting anything directly from the NABF. However, my newspaper research has allowed the addition of the names of officials for 12 NABF title bouts. I know that's not much, but we'll keep working at it.
As a further update on the project, the NABF and Canadian Boxing Federation pages have been augmented substantially. As a result, the various sanctioning body pages have the following ranks in the "most linked-to pages" in the wiki:
- Canadian Boxing Federation is #5 (541 links)
- NABO is #12 (459 links)
- NABF is #13 (423 links)
- NABA is #21 (315 links)
- Commonwealth Boxing Council is #25 (263 links)
- Quebec Boxing Council is #302 (57 links)
