The boxing been cut to just 35 minutes tonight as they are showing tim henman in the australian open. What a joke!!!!!!!!! BBC are twats and i hope henman loses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Davydenko humbles hapless Henman

Henman made more than 30 unforced errors
Tim Henman's Australian Open campaign fell apart in the face of an onslaught from 26th seed Nikolay Davydenko.
The Russian made a fast start, breaking the Briton's opening service game, and never looked back, winning 6-4 6-2 6-2.

Henman, seeded seven in Melbourne, struggled to find any rhythm and looked frustrated throughout.

He made numerous unforced errors and looked lethargic on court, in stark contrast to his lively opponent who reeled off a number of fizzing passes.

Sorry mate the BBC are doing there job , supply and demand , if the punters don't tune in they will tune out.

The ones really treating boxing, like shite are the BBBof C after al they are the keepers of british boxing, they are the people who alledgedly run it, and they are the people who allow ,promoters to consitently dish up shite and mismatches, which in turn drives the punters away.

Put the blame where it lays.

Yes as a fight fan I felt the BBC treated me very badly last night, 35 minutes of hurried programming, what a joke.

Even the Delaney clip at the start of the program was an old one.

I didn't think I could hate Tennis anymore than I already did, but thanks to the BBC my hatred of tennis and all it's Cliff Richard, middle class nonsence burns with a new intensity.

Ideally the BBC need a dedicated sports channel. I like tennis too and personally think it's a great game to watch. It's also better than boxing in thatt he top players regularly play each other, no avoiding, carefully guided careers, to me it highlights everything that is wrong with boxing.

That said, in this country yes the sport is full of middle to upper class twats.

It is the BBC curse with Henman, everytime the BBC start to show his matches from the other slams he loses badly.

Nobody expected him to do anything in the French open, has a brilliant run the Beeb show his semi final and he gets whooped. I watch a fair amount of tennis and I don't think I have ever seen Henman win a non grass match on the Beeb.

On the BBC boxing show, Bunce said Cuba v England (?) in early April is being shown delayed on Sunday Grandstand. On Friday April 8th according to boxing's Flavor Flav.

As for Henman...I like loads of sport including tennis. Watched him last night. He was embarrassingly wank. They might as well have shown some of the undercard instead but, as overhand says, audience figures dictate.

Have to say, I own a pub and when I put the boxing on last night only a few people were interested, then after about 10 minutes no one could give a shit about it and carried on with their coversations, then someone asked if I could turn it off, so I did.

Not a good sign for the pull of boxing, not many exciting bouts televised anymore.

There was only 1 fight last night that was a 50/50 fight and that was Haidar Ali v Jamie Arthur. All the others were foregone conclusions. Had to watch the boxing upstairs as Joe Public were not arsed.

Must admit though, nobody asked for the Tennis to be put on.

Jamie Arthur needs to look into the cut problem and fast though. He is a good little fighter with some promise. Like the TV commontators said maybe he should get in touch with 'Team Hatton' and ask some advice on how Hatton has improves his skin problems.

Apparently the night George Foreman fought 5 opponents on the same day back in 1975(?). Famed trainer Angelo Dundee instead of watching Big George watched the the tennis on TV.

Exactly. Sky Sports shows are generally a procession of 'fights' where we have one of the fighters with the odds enormously in his favour, be it age, experience, weight, whatever, many are simply mismatches and the rest are little better.
