The film of the fight shows him getting beat and quitting on his stool. The record shows it as a TKO loss. Like I said, show me your documented proof that he had asthma prior to the loss. You were so sure it existed so show us.

Official result aside? This is a sport that can hinge on one punch. Thats the most ignorant thing youve ever said. Was he losing the fight? HE LOST THE FIGHT. Just do what I asked, why do you keep dodging it. You were so sure that this was well documented just show me mention of his asthma that predates his loss to Jaco...

You are grasping blindly at one point. Documentation. Yet I have thrown a few common sense nuggets at you plus a few questions of my own and you yet you continue to hold on the documentation issue as though it's your own personal bungee cord.

How many untruths have you told in this thread . Alot, that's how many. And instead on dwelling on one I keep beating you over the head with multiple - and I don't have to resort to throwing just one at you because there are so many.

No, who was winning the fight at the time of the stoppage and don't give me any of that bullshit about how the fight could change from one punch because even though it's true it is not relevant in this situation because RUDDOCK LOST DUE TO ILLNESS.

Basically you're talking the word of Ruddock and his fans that he had an asthma attack and taking that as proof that he had an asthma attack.

That's really all you have said, other than he looked weak, so that would be a sign of an asthma attack. It could be a sign of getting beat too.

If a fighter lost because he claimed he threw his shoulder out, wouldn't you expect to see a doctor validate this? Where is there proof that Ruddock had an asthma attack, other than his word. Should you take Holyfield's excuses after he loses as gospel?

That's true - all I have said is that I am going on Ruddock's word. What has been said to contradict even that except? Klompton's lousy opinion?This is the same guy who calls Jack Johnson a criminal for transporting his future wife across state lines. He chooses to believe that Ruddock is some sort of quitter - despite never having done that in a fight before or after even after facing Mike Tyson , Lennox Lewis , Mike Dokes and others and I choose to believe that he's not. Based on the facts that we have.

Regarding a lack of evidence. Should we assume that any fighter who claims that they hurt themself is lying then. This fight happened in 1989 or something, right. How could anybody think that validation is even available. Is it the norm for a fan to have that sort of info at their disposal? I don't get it.

I am Canadian and that was the story in Toronto at the time and nobody questioned. The Toronto Sun, Star and Globe all reported it and on The Spider's Web radio show where Ruddock was a guest it was talk about for a short time as well.

I ask again - what proof is there that Ruddock did not have asthma?

You obviously dont understand the situation robot. You and Ruddock make excuses for a loss, the burden of proof is on you to provide evidence otherwise all we have is the OFFICIAL RESULT. You yourself said he had a "history" of asthma.

Dont back track and say now that all you are doing is taking Ruddocks word. If it is well documented as you claim then post that documentation otherwise let it rest. Nobody respects a guy who comes into a fight supposedly in perfect shape, gets his ass kicked and then claims he had an asthma attack. I seem to recall Shannon Briggs using the same lame excuse. If you lose, you LOSE. Plain and simple.

what about big bad Sonny Liston being beaten by Marty Marshall?(although I think it went the distance with Listons jw brok)\
Also Listons embarrising knock out loss to his former sparring partner Leotis Martin
in 1969,and Liston was down on the canvas for several minutes in this one,which was broadcast live on ABC sports hosted by Howard Cosell.OF COURSE lISTON MAY HAVE BEEN IN HIS 40'S IN 1969.

I have Liston-Martin in color and he was as knocked out as you get. He was winning the fight pretty easily until he got very bloody nose. When he saw his own blood his face literally changed into that of a scared child. Within two rounds Martin and demolished him. Picture perfect KO.
