Here is a link to the first moving picture of a prizefight(or rather then exhibition of sparring).
The Leonard-Cushing fight filmed June-14-1894 at the Edison studios.
6x one minute rounds were filmed.

Yeah,I know its not pretty but its history.
They sure used their elbows a lot back then it appears.
Mike Leonard was a Brooklyn lightweight champion at 138 pounds.

Here is a link to one of the one minute rounds of,
Corbett and Courtney before the Kinetograph,
filmed at the Edison Studios, September.7.1894.
This was the Edison's studios second and most famous production.
6x one minute rounds were filmed.
Anyone know how many of its rounds still known to exist?

I heard on the news that some anti-Western liberals are trying to have Thomas A. Edison's
conntributions removed from the future text books for school and replace him with Famous Amos(of cookie fame) and Mary Kaye's cosmeticis.So I thought I would re post this to p*ss them off.
