I'm boycotting the awards ceremony following the shocking omission of Ciaran HealyTerry D wrote:Leonard Gunning's Irish awards for 2009

Enzo Calzaghe... I'm impressed Terry. First of all I'm impressed that you managed to get hold of him, and second that you were able to transcribe what he said

His four round EPIC with Matt Scriven was almost enough to swing it his way but after I talked him up so much he left me down by not stopping Chunky! http://www.BS.com/?m=show&id=21088Terry D wrote:steve689 wrote:I'm boycotting the awards ceremony following the shocking omission of Ciaran HealyTerry D wrote:Leonard Gunning's Irish awards for 2009I'm sure Sligo will pop on and give his reason/s for this omission!
Hoping that Leonard will also tell me what the Gaelic words at the bottom said![]()
Been a mixed year for Irish boxing. Dunne flew the flag but the loss of Sutherland was a terrible thing. I hope to catch a fight over there sometime in 2010, preferably in Belfast as I've never visited NI.
Terry, Ste will give you a guided tour of B-town when McCloskey fights next year. He is also fluent in Irish and will give you a translation! ;)

Granted, not the best way to write up a 2 and a half hour interview (especially at 2 in the morning!).Terry D wrote:PS Matt, could have been worse. Could have realised that I, or my machine, had failed to record the convo' and then had to pull into a travel tavern to do it from my, impeccable, memory

Lindsay v Appleby was on Setanta, not Sky Sports.
I could translate the bottom of the article for our non Irish friends, but I'd rather leave them in confusion for now
