Why do Historic Boxing Stats still include Fred Dyer among those with the longest unbeaten streak.
Just because this was included in Nat Fleischers; Ring Record Book does not mean its correct.
Record 52441 shows Dyer lost in May 1911 to Dick Emden and he did not have anywhere near 94 professional bouts before this.
Actual date of Emden bout reported locally was 08-05-1911.
Fred Dyer Historian Nonsense.
Re: Fred Dyer Historian Nonsense.
What "historical boxing stats" are you referring to?
Re: Fred Dyer Historian Nonsense.
See page 789 Nat Fleischers; 1965 Ring Record Book, Most Consecutive Fights Without A Loss(Lifetime). This Information Was in much Earlier One of His books, Do not no how many.
Recently saw in The Boxing Historian.Com. Under Historic Boxing Stats Fred Dyer was listed at number two in Longest Unbeaten Streak.

Re: Fred Dyer Historian Nonsense.
Don't worry, the BoxRec editors know to treat Nat Fleischer's work with a heavy dose of scepticism
