And it's a happy new year from Lirva, the worst-disguised troll on the webCossack wrote:well, i guess bellew will look towards a bum now.
Getting back to the important part of the thread, Ovil would be an ideal replacement and a really good gauge re. Tony's development.
Re: bellew v fry off
Well it looks like the Cleverly fight in January is also off, why not bring this fight forward and get ready to RUMMBLE
It could be for the British

NOOOO NOT MATHEW BARNEY!!
Joking aside he has fought and only narrowly lost for the euro title and went 12 with froch although I feel like ive overdosed on nightol whenever I watch him.A stoppage for bomber would be a good result.

All wrong for Bomber at this stage I'd suggest - the classic maximum risk, minimum reward scenariofreddie boswell wrote:NOOOO NOT MATHEW BARNEY!!

Bomber,it would be madness to box Barney.Even if you win convincingly, you can be sure he would spoil enough to put off thousands of casual fans who will be at the arena that night.

Re: bellew v fry off
yeh the fry camp are making up excuses, its not the rite amount of money bla bla
people would have more respect for fry if he came out and said hes absolutely terrified to fight bellew. and he knows it wouldnt go past 3 rounds.
what a great excuse. the moneys not right.
its not right even tho its probibly around the same he was offered to fight cleverly (bare in mind there were 2 belts on the line there.) not to mention the fact he got k.od by cleverly last fight and he thinks he is in a position to bargain?
whats the point in being a boxer fry? if when you get offered title shots in your own back yard you %hit you pants.
if you won this fight you could then start demanding large amounts of money. i mean surly thats how it works?

Re: bellew v fry off
Sixteen fights (70 rounds) and almost seven years in, Courtney's only real victory of note is a 6th rd ko of Tony Salam.
He will be 35 in May, times ticking. Should he really be holding out for big bucks ?

You've got Darren Stubbs, he holds the Central area title, he is a toughman. Maybe he can be tempted to defend against Bellew.

Holding out for the bigger purse signals to me that he's not confident.mexican roadsweeper wrote:Sixteen fights (70 rounds) and almost seven years in, Courtney's only real victory of note is a 6th rd ko of Tony Salam.
