He might get a shot at the europian title after Rudy Markussen vs Vitali Tsypko, so he can't possibly fight froch in the interim.

Firstly why dose he think he would be in line to face them secondly if the winner gets a shot at the WBA then it will obviousely take a few months befor the vacant or otherwise statuse of the title is resolved... Poor very poor.

The article is a bit wrong, its an IBF eliminator not WBA eliminator.

As much as i hate Froch's cockiness (especially when he shakes his chest like he has double D's) i think he would have caned Magee. Froch is incradibly talented whereas i think Magee is basic. Who is Froch's next fight? Anyone know?

There was talk of him fighting on the Hopkins v Eastman undercard next month - he is out in florida in training camp preparing Eastman at the moment so no reason why not. But not heard anything confirmed since.

I agree with you to an extent Neri, he annoys me as well but he has talent and we need to cling to all the hopes we have in British Boxing at the moment, especially one who has made it clear he wants to fight the best. That is refreshing in itself with the rest of the WBU boys hand picking there opponents. Froch's training and sparring in Florida can only help him and he is fighting on a major fight undercard...good old Hennessy i say

yeah , why not have a fight on the undercard, even if its a "gimmie" against someone lesser, any publicity is better than none, Americans like cockiness and i think they'd go for Froch.

Why be out there helping Eastman and not get some action yourself, and a bit of pocket money as well.

I expect he'll be sat at ringside trying to get seen on US tv , instead of in the ring showing them what he can do.

Hennessy will definetly be looking to get Froch on the undercard, excellent chance for Froch. If they can find a decent opponent who has a decent rep stateside, could be an excellent little fight, and I think the yank's will love his style of fighting too.

It can't be that hard to find a half decent super middle in the US, will be interesting to see if he does get matched up, my feeling is it won't happen.

Hopkins isn't the biggest seller , so i think they might pack the undercard with hispanics to get the crowd up a bit

Indeed it would be great to get Carl Froch on the undercard, it would be good experience for him to fight abroad as a professional against a sturdy USA Super-Middleweight or even Light-Heavyweight.

Training with Eastman will do him the World of good. I hope he is doing everything Eastman is doing ie getting up in the morning and putting the road work in with Howard as well.

That would be some undercard! Not sure either of those two would want or be well advised to fight the other right now for different reasons.

I'm still a bit dubious that any fight will happen, 3 weeks till fight time.
but throwing a couple of names in the hat, how about Carl Daniels, Tito Mendoza, Eric Mitchell , Thomas Reid.

All beatable and would look good on the record

I do find this whole promotion very odd, Golden Boy win the purse bids but if feels almost like a Hennessey US show. You have to thank Golden Boy promotions for being so accomodating. I wonder (my opinion) if there was some sort of deal arranged by only having the one belt on the line Hennesey was allowed to showcase some of his talent. If yes, then that is a good coup.

Also, what I find odd is that Hennessey is saying in press releases that he owns the rights to the show and TV companies need to contact him. Again this is odd, its IS a GBP show - surely they would need to get hold of them.

This is a very odd show and (I hope I'm wrong) but I can still see it falling apart on the last minute. The fact the DLH is not showcasing his boxers but Hennesey is on a GBP show, odd.
