Given that people are MORE likely to vote for UKIP, BNP etc in the Euro elections (or equally, more people are likely to vote for a main party Red or Blue, in a general election) it would be a MASSIVE surprise if Labour failed to win this.
Take into account that Labour we at their lowest in popularity in that Euro election, and there was also an element of "protest vote" and the nature of the ballot was proportional Representation, all this points to a clear Labour win in Barking.
What WILL be significant is BNP V UKIP head to head.
