Main Event were billing the Medley fight as the last fight before he takes on the winner of The Contender, for what that's worth...

You're in an Aussie forum, we don't give three shits about Clinton Woods. It is clear to us that we're talking about Australian, Garth.

And if you're not down with that, I've got two words for ya...

i think a athletic guy like woods could give him some trouble, he fights like a poor mans andre ward, if he can improve and become like andre ward then he could beat mundine.

see the thing is in chocs fights he sets the pace...wood wont be able to throw a wild haymaker then tackle choc because choc will move out of the way(unlike Kariuki) Wide decision for mundine & then some imo :TU:

Before you get even more constructive, you would be wise to work on your grammer first.

I agree that Mundine will have too much for him. I actually think he would probably cut him up and stop him early.

However my optimistic side hopes that Wood can give him some trouble. Wood does have a style that could unsettle Mundine. As you say Mundine likes to control the pace, if Wood continues to throw caution to the wind and keeps moving forward, attacking Mundine on the inside he will have a chance to land a big shot. The beauty of boxing is that you are potentionally always 10 seconds away from victory!

What i like about Wood is that he can land from some strange angles. It can't be just luck, because he does it regularly, just like Sam Soliman. Except Wood has more power than Sam

I'd be surprised if this fight happens.
I know it is contracted but lets be realistic, there was so much debate when he got in the ring with medley and that it was "just going to be another easy win". With all respect to Garth he had such few fights I think he wopuld get busted up badly due to taking an accumulation of punches Choc would win by TKo due to cuts.
Now Mundine made it clear that he finds it hard to get up for fights "like these" refering to Medley....but now he is going to take on "The Contender Australia Champion, Garth Wood !!" I have no time for Mundine as a professional, but the only time Wood should be in the ring with Mundine is in a spar.

Mundine is beatable, look at medleys face after the fight, hardly a mark so a lot must have landed on the gloves, medley caught him almost every time he opened up, if his work rate was 30% better he could have won that fight, the stupid basted wouldn't let his hands go for some reason.

Mundine is like kessler, he stands upright.

I honestly don't think the fight can be sanctioned, one guy has 30 odd fights is a 2 time Champion. the other hasnt been more than 7 rounds and has 8 fights in Total. Total mismatch. Id predict Mundine stops him within 3-4 rounds.

in that he stands upright when someone opens up on him, he just uses his shoulders for defence, no angles and not much footwork, he can be hit by a sneaky fast guy or a fast combo puncher like medley.
