Hatton promotions have muscled in on Warren's fighter?
Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
If FW put in a decent purse bid in the first place none of this would matterG0mez wrote:Hatton promotions have muscled in on Warren's fighter?
Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
To my reading, it sounds like the Italians won the bid, so they themselevs are obliged to stage it, even if the Hattons have "bought" the show off them.

Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
Could it be that Hatton Promotions are getting pressure from Sky ?
Maybe they haven't got enough "bill headers" of the right status to get the nod from Sky for their forthcoming dates.
It does beg the question though - why did they not simply bid for the fight in the first place and secure it ?
The fact that Cleverly is a Wazza fighter is irrelevent.
Or - could it be they did bid for the fight but got outbid by the Italians leading to a behind the scenes deal ?
Rules are rules.
If you win a purse bid you are obliged to put the show on.
Otherwise it's back to purse bids ?
Sounds like we have an emergency licence application followed by a show in conjunction with.
The interesting part here will be if the Board allow it.
Expect vocal opposition from Hertfordshire - and if I'm honest they've probably got a proper reason this time.

There is no way the Board will just hand the Italians a licence just like that. They will also have to lodge deposits etc when they apply.
It'll either go to whoever finished second in the bids or back to new offers

The show this week is too strong really. They should have shifted Thompson-McIntyre over to the Feb show.leforge wrote:Oakey v Mcintosh is that good enough fo main event as it only English!
Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
They will need at least a Bitish or commonwealth fight surely.

If you want to play in the premier league you need a good squad. Hatton doesn't have that in or out of the ring - hence the Magpie like behaviour!
Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
Yea Wazza may have a Better "Squad" of Boxers but i dont fancy shelving 15 bucks everytime for the privilage of watching a Decent card,
His Sky Shows have been poor for a while now.
All shows should have 2 Headline worth bouts on them and some 50/50s and some Prospects under that,
But hey im not a promoter so maybe its not that easy.

Haha it seems that a lot of Warren's fighters have decided to join Hatton latelyboxingchat wrote:If you want to play in the premier league you need a good squad. Hatton doesn't have that in or out of the ring - hence the Magpie like behaviour!
Re: Explanation Of Clev vs. Brancalion Postponement
Sky should not let Hatton have Oakey v Mcintosh as main event imo. I thought that if Italians can't promote it goes to second highest bidder!
