Harrison has done eff all to deserve his shot. A very low quality matchup for the EBU title. Both have seriously inflated records and it is somewhat galling to see two bottle jobs who have always looked for the easy option fighting for a prestigious title

On another note, this highlights yet again that in boxing it's never over until it's over and how quick fighters get written off after a loss.

Anyone question quite how Audley justifies this shot. Remember Martin Rogan was rejected by the EBU and he beat Audley.

Was thinking the same "Prizefighter" did overrate him as his 3 wins were against fairly poor opponants and he didnt look convincanlly doing it

I am of the opinion that fighters in this day and age don't 'earn' shots at titles - if a fighter has the right connections then they get a title shot - we all know this by now don't we?

Sosnowski is pretty average and Audley isn't going to chimp this big chance up surely? Harrison to win handsomely on points - its Audley's fight to lose - Sosnowski has absolutley no physical or skill advantage whatsoever over Pot Noodles very own 'Big Dave' If Harrisons reticence and protected career has you hating him folks - then you should be having a right hate on for Sosnowski! Isn't he something like 76-1-1?

if audley beats either of these guys to claim the brit/comm and euro titles..id say hes dead certain to get whoever is around out of the WBA/WBC/WBO/Ibf. If Haye is around the matchup in the Uk would be huge. like it or not Auds has a persona and Haye is supernova atm.

All he needs to do is keep coming forward. Audley stamina is terrible and Sosnowski looked in great shape against Vidoz.

In this fight I have to attack all the time and not give him any rest, because I know that he does not like to be under pressure

He has Audleys number. As long as he sticks to his game plan. He'll beat Audley no problem.

Yep... Haye-Harrison is just about plausible, but NO WAY will Williams get another world title shot, even if somehow he wins through against that lot. Too damaged goods, and both Haye and the public knows this. Skelton, too old. Sexton and Chisora, too green and not well-enough known.

Exactly. Sosnowski is just a Euro Chapman/Saleem/Greenberg who somehow gets legitimacy from (only just) beating a shot-to-bits Williams and a Vidoz who's something like 1-5 in Euro title class.

He may or may not beat Audley but Carlos' assessment is right - if you hate cynical matchmaking and the puffing up of records to flatter a middling talent into an undeserved financial position, then you should hate Sosnowski. Audley has fought at a higher level than this guy several times - and has even won some of them!

I disagree Oliver. Who has Audley fought and beaten who are better than Vidoz, Williams and drawing with Pianeta.

I think drawing with Pianeta and beating up Williams is good enough form to warrant a high EBU ranking.

Audley LOST to Rogan, lost to Sprott and beat an equally shot to bits Williams (who was on a weeks notice).

Paineta isn't that good but has some decent wins under his belt.

Well really it should be anyone from Europe who is not a world champion.

So I would say Valuev, Chagaev, Adamek, Povetkin, Virchis, Boystov, Ustinov, Maskaev, Pianetta and a few others should be all ahead of Sexton - who I would have significantly ahead of Harrison. Who should be below Sprott, Rogan, Sosnowski, Skelton (domestically) - maybe you could also add Chisora, Fury and McDermott to the list.

Sorry disagree - a fighter smashed in a round in his last fight of note.... sorry would never accept Bonin to fight for the European title. EU title, maybe.

I like to think I would be critical of all any fighter not deserving of a shot, nationality doesn't come into it (for me).
