My heart says mark, as he'sm ixed in higher class than people give him credit for.... but my head thinks perhaps Mcintyre can keep on the back foot and not engage in a toe to toe war. I like Thompson, so Im picking him to get a mid-late KO or sneak a points victory, either way it'll be after some very rocky moments.

I just think Thompson will be too big and strong. McIntyre will have his moments.

Got yo go with Kev, hes looking great
Done the Weight easily this time and been raring to go for a while now.

Thompson is strong boy but if Kev boxes smart and keeps him at range and give him problems

Only danger is if you sit on the ropes and let Thompson whack to the body
cant see Kev doing that though.

Heres hoping anyway :bag:

Just can't seeing Macintyre being able to take Mark's power shots. Look what happened to Kevin against Brook, doesn't matter how fit or unfit you are really, if you can't take a shot you can't take a shot.

I see Mark wearing him down with body shots early on with a stoppage coming between 6-8 rounds

McIntyre on points for me. I don't see what Thompson brings to the party other than a big punch. That may be sufficient but I doubt it.

Thing with Mark is, or so im told, its not one big punch. he's a left handed orthadox fighter. So his jabs and leads are very very hurtful. Both Moorsey and Alex Mattvienko have said first hand he punches consistently like he has horse shoes in his gloves.

Great fight though isnt it.

It is. Classic boxer versus puncher match-up.

I'm going for Thompson early. McIntyre's a slow starter and was taken out in a round by Kell Brook but also Nigel Wright.

McIntyre is a good step up in class for Thompson who hasn't really fought anyone of this level at 147. I originally thought Thompsons power would be the deciding factor but considering McIntryes experience and if he boxes a clever fight I think he might frustrate Thompson and nick it on points. It could go either way and thats what makes it an intriguing fight.

Horta and Vuma were both as good, if not better (on paper too) than Mcintyre.

Granted Vuma was at 154, but lets not forget Thompson weighed in at 148 for that fight after taking it on a weeks notice.

Nothing surprised me more than McIntyre holding up to Kevin Anderson's attacks, I didn't think he had that kind of durability and if he can repeat that sort of form he has a chance, but Thompson can really put himself in the domestic mix with an impressive win and I think he'll have too much for McIntyre.

Thompson by stoppage.

yeah, Thompson is much more heavier handed than Anderson I think, and 12 rounds is a long way for McIntyre to stay out of trouble.

though, with all the messing around he got off the Board, i hope he wins and gets another championship shot- hopefully when Brook's vacated, anyway :KO:
