Is it a legal requirement that entertainers have public liability insurance, or just highly reccomended?

entaertains in what sense? a clown coming to your house for example or a DJ hired by a social club?

i think if they visit your home its a requirment but at a bar or club its up to the establishment wethere they get it or make the entertainer get in whilst on there property
