John Davison, where is he now?

I am currently reading an interview with former WBO Featherweight Champion Steve Robinson and it got me thinking what ever happed to Newcastles John Davison the former British Featherweight Champion who fought Robinson for the vacant WBO title in 1993?

I seem to recall he was a popular fighter in the north east but I have heard nothing about him for years.

Didn`t he open a fish and chip shop or something like that when he retired.
Very tough fighter who just couldn`t get a decent break.
