Hi Hurlock

I was asked a question would i train Ricky Hatton by a Journalist and i said i would but was very flattered to be even thought of as a possible trainer , only 12 months ago it was all Mayweather.
So i never put it out there i was basically asked a question.
As Limelight goes its Shame Sky tv dont even show Olympian Joe Murray yet give huge coverage Both on Boxing Shows and Sky sports news to both Frank Warrens and Frank Maloneys Olympians whats that all about.
Joe Murray asks me the question how do i explain that and he with Ricky Hatton a Sky Box office fighter.

John the best lightwight in Uk imo. Once he gets Euro title its surely onwards and upwards! How long would it be before Joe challenges for a domestic title?

When i think his ready just waiting for him to bring his gym form into the ring at momemt he doing well but still in transition period but his last 2 fights had a edge to them which is good for him similiar to Frankie Gavin against Saville now Peter Mcdonagh good fights.

apologies joe,i only know what i read as the reporter stated you'd offerd your services, but that's journalist's for you never letting the truth getting in the way of a good story :!: i suppose joe not being a medalist & not with warren like saunders who's had tibbs come out of retirement too train him makes it hard even tho he's got more promise.
personally i think hatton should never contest at l.welter again as he aint 23 no longer,i think he should test the waters against a domestic british welter as did cotto which never done him any harm, plus hatton can fill a venue v peter buckley, i feel he is being ill advised going straight back in at top level ppv etc. whats the point when he's building his promotion being a big celeb with premiership status???.
also on the best trainers etc. the biggest thing i commend about roach is his honesty in watching laczano fight hatton & saying outright he was poor & snapped up the fight & dlh knowing he'd be drained down & weak not claiming no master plan.& then offering mosely who's boxed up @ l.middle a catchweight fight  which he refused but then arum traded in cotto he's own meat to create this monster superstar.
i think with roach his fighters are in charge, he weighs up good odds & knows the buisness, soon enough he'll have to gamble with khan but khan will be none the wiser as he thinks freddy will only get matches he'll win imo.
as 4 joe if he stays on track he'll do better for it as it done clinton woods no harm.

Yeah joe will do ok wen his time comes but wen the kid asks why Sky tv not show him yet they show other Olympians not only that but give them live time wat do you say. He a great kid got a great attitude for sport and has a fun personality.
I noticed a poster on this website say if joe was with SN he be getting rave reviews , to me does not matter who your with if ur doing business like joe is at moment beating a 6 bout undefeated fighter by ko then Sky should give him his due.

case of face fitting etc. why not go for question of sport raise the profile as he was an international boxer, plenty of shite runners on it.
you only have to go on teletext too see where boxing stands these day's joe :!: im sure fighters dont want to be peoples monkeys but they need an element of being show men & controversial it seems to stand out.

hatton promotions are finished as soon as he is, & with the clowns pushing him straight back into the mix not knowing the sport, it's only a matter of time before he realises he's spunking it up the wall, but in that time murray could be earning nice & building a decent following & attract bidders for his next co.

I've liked Joe Murray so far very classy and totally diffrent to his brother but both have good finishing instincts. It is a shame that Murray isnt getting the attension he deserves but potensially it will make him hungrier :TU:

i have been very impressed with joe murray, seen him now a few times live and he has adapted well in the pros. Im sure that if he continues winning and looking very good in the process, then the tv coverage will come.

I know people might disaree but I think it's a good thing that he's not always on TV. I don't want to see Gavin, Jeffries et al bashing poor imports. I think fighters should earn their spot on TV, like Thompson and McIntyre have or Renda and Samuels.
Joe might disagree with me here but he doesn't have the pressure to perform like the others. Look how DeGale was booed in his first outing and how David Price was messed about last year because he couldn't get on TV.
I think Joe is the furthest along out of all the Olympians and his time will come on TV. Plus he's fought in Vegas which the other lads haven't.
