Should be an easy win for Cleverly if he is world class.

I think he is, but given his opposition I can't be certain. I mean come on beating Courtney Frye, Billy Boyle, and Commonwealth level fighters only proves so much. I would like to see him against a fighter like Murat or Uzelkov.

dont know much about either of these two, but i know he can only beat whats in front of him. danny macintosh was being touted as a rising star til clev put him down 4 times and made him look very ordinary. courtney fry is a very tough cookie, but was stopped without any trouble. tony oakey is a tricky customer but was out fought in cleverly's first 12 rounder. every test he's been given has been passed with flying colours, surely he's better than some of the average fighters who have fought for world titles

Shame Clev still isn't fighting in Wales, especially as its for a Euro title. I know Warren's got beef with the Calzaghe's but I can't see why Clev fighting at the CIA with a decent undercard wouldn't sell it out with the following he's gaining.

Clev should win this.

He's upped his game and is good to watch.

Hang on a second, level playing field and all that, why isn't Hatton Promotions getting any stick about this ?
They tried to sneak in the back door and do a deal with the Italians and then as soon as confronted by Wazza run away ?
They have caused the delay.
Tell you what, if Wazza had tried that, this board would have been awash with Wazza getting slaughtered.

I thought hatton tried to do a deal when the itallians could find a date to stage the show. He wanted the fight in england, but then wazza took over the fight.

I'm just glad it is now in the UK 8) Looking forward to this one as the undercard is also very good :TU:

Be interesting to see the after fight interviews with both Clev and Bomber :box:

Good luck to both of them I say.

Dream on Rixxy.
Hatton Promotions sneaked in the back exit, bought the fight off the Italians, and expected Wazza to say - Oh that's fine gents, get on with it.
If they were in the right why aren't they staging the fight ?

not sure i really agree with this, even though he's a top fighter, dont think there is that much public interest in cleverly or boxing in general to sell out the cia. i've been to his last 4 fights and the biggest following i've seen him have is a loyal 50 to 70 fans at york hall for the macintosh fight, not sure of the capacitiy of the cia for boxing but cannot see an event there with just clev as the headline act being cost effective.
