I hope someone can help me with this.
Back in the 1940's my father lived in Austria in the South in a town called called Klagenfurt. His name was ERICH THALER.
He was reputed to be a good amateur boxer.
He told me he was an amateur champion and boxed in a few places around europe. We have an old photogrpah of him in his gloves, and amny many years ago there was a similar picture of him with a Championship belt. Alas this photo has been lost. He was also was to appear in the 1948 Olympic team, but was taken ill and was unable to travel to the UK.
Can anyone suggest how I might find out what his achievements were and where and when he boxed?
