Dempsey gets off the canvas to batter Marciano into submission over six explosive rounds, IMO. It'd be a Fight Of The Year candidate, easy. Could be a cut stoppage here.

Where both men are teak-tough, have great chins, & hit like monsters, I like the guy with the faster hands, longer reach, shorter shots, & who starts faster out of the blocks to get the job done :TU:

There'd be a million-dollar sequel, that's for sure. Wyle & Kearns would be similarly-entertaining at the negotiating table

Have you ever seen Dempsey hit? Equally-valid question.

Look, it's like this. It's savage, fast, intense, &, above all, not likely to last long, whoever wins it. They're just too powerful, & too willing to engage. You think it's -worthy that the ref could pull Marciano up on cuts through six rounds against Dempsey? You are aware Dempsey ranks among the hardest-hitting, fastest-starting, & most explosive punchers in the division's history, right? They're both more than a little dirty when necessary, too. Fvck me, Marciano almost got cut-stopped --- in about the same length of time --- against Charles, but it can't happen with Dempsey? Who's really having the laugh, here?

I see Collins has taken his opportunity to cheer from the sidelines. Meanwhile, another thread tells me he's busy looking up whether or not Lennox Lewis was ever undisputed Heavyweight champion. LOL.

I don't doubt it.

You're obviously a busy man --- you have important things to do, such as Boxing research --- like distinguishing the difference between Jim Flynn & Jack Dempsey.

You're hosed, "Fireman."

I think Wesker's "Fireman Jack Dempsey" is a jibe aimed at Jack's LKO1....

Of all the fights possible to imagine, Jack Dempsey v. Rocky Marciano is the one I'd pay the most money to see.

My pick: Dempsey, TKO 6.

I like Marciano over Dempsey, but it is a tougfh one to call.
Both have the making to complete a perfect series.

It will be gruelling....but I favour Marciano.
